Suggestion for Compact Chassis/Cabinet for my PC

I had regular 207. The only difference is screen on digital. The rest is identical. As I mentioned, your existing PSU will not fit in it. Otherwise its great case. Compact for a mid tower, great airflow.

Make sure you get this : Amazon.in: Buy Lian Li Front Dust Filter of Gaming Cabinet I Case - Black - G89.LAN207-1X.in Online at Low Prices in India | Lian Li Reviews & Ratings

Just buy it right now if you are zeroing in on 207. The filter is not included unlike 217 where it comes with the case.

Its a must. Other than that, nothing else out there matches the cooling potential of this case.

But as I mentioned your PSU will not fit due to the way PSU is mounted at the front of the case sideways. If you are selling yorus and getting one of the newer more compact PSUs, then its a great option.

I have few different setups which I had in this case. Will post some pics.

If you have any speicific questions about the built or compatibility, you can tag me. I have built 3-4 different systems with this case. Both air-cooled and AIO cooled.

I am not looking to change my PSU (180mm), guess I have to go for CM Qube 500 then

I have finally decided to go for CORSAIR AIR 5400 (White Variant)

I love the 3-chember concept, and this cabinet can accommodate any new builds in the future.

Although no one suggested this chassis, but all the suggestions helped me narrow-down what mattered to me more, and the limitations to consider while choosing the new case. Thanks for that!

So here is where it stands now:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
Cooler: Corsair Nautilus 360 RS ARGB CPU AIO Cooler [Newly Acquired ]
Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC
Memory: 16x2 GB DDR4 @ 1600 MHz, 16-20-20-38 (2x Corsair CMG16GX4M1E3200C16)
Graphics: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 16GB GAMING OC
PSU: Cooler Master MWE Gold 1050 Watt V2 ATX v3.0
PC Case/Cabinet: Corsair AIR 5400 RS-R ARGB Mid-Tower Case [Newly Acquired ]

Drives:

  1. Intel 660p, 1 TB, NVMe 8 GT/s (Windows Installed)
  2. Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB SSD, SATA 6Gb/s (Backup Drive)
  3. WD Black 2TB HDD, SATA 6Gb/s (Storage)
  4. Crucial P3 4TB SSD, NVMe 8 GT/s (Added later, Storage Extension)

Network: Intel Wireless-AC 9260 160MHz + Intel I211AT Copper (Pearsonville) Network Adapter
OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Professional (x64)

Purpose is 4K 60fps gaming (Single Player games mostly story-driven AAA and sports titles). So, the questions is, do I need any upgrade till AM6 components arrive in 2027-28. I hope not.

Great choice. Do post your user experience with the case.

Is corsair 5400 a compact case ?

Cannot really call it compact in terms of width but definitely lower in height and length compared to my Cooler Master MasterCase H500. It is still on the way so cannot share photos of the actual case. But if you see the photo below, I can now fit my PC up on the table:

Please do post photo once you get the case and build on it , I had added this to the cart in amazon , and visited local shop to see if this was a good option , none of them had this in display. And from YouTube videos was not able to arrive at a decision.

BTW wher did you get it from ? How much did it cost ?

Sure, will do. I got it from Vedant, and usually they send it same day or next since I’m in Kolkata, but this they are taking longer, they may haven’t had this in stock but was listed on their website for some reason. Black one is easily available. This cost me 18k ish

I have decided to stock these for now … New build incoming. The prices of DDR5 RAM is discouraging else ready to go for a CPU/Mobo overhaul

Frankly speaking none of these come close to be compact…

I am using NR200 + Match mobo

Another really good option is lian li A3

Mini ITX build is an expensive affair and has limitations of what all can be added. I wouldn’t have been able to add this kind of LCD AIO on an ITX. So different priorities, not beating one another. Hence, for me, my current mid-tower fish tank build beats any ITX build

Yeah… generally compact builds and LCD aio are choices of 2 completely different people… but that can overlap…

What I am talking about is MATX motherboard and AtX psu… I had those in my NR200, now replaced the PSU.. but motherboard is still MATX… A3 supports MATX mobo and ATX PSU… so no ITX toll… but yes it has limited compatibility… there are some pros and cons of each setup…

Agreed. I made the Thermaltake Green build just for 2-3 years. After that I’ll be using the Corsair AIR 5400 triple chamber case for AM5 build, perhaps better to wait for AM6.

I rushed to buy the Corsair cabinet and AIO, and now sitting idle with me till the market for complete new PC build becomes viable. Maybe I’ll ask if anyone’s interested to buy at a discount.
