can the lag time issues in flash chat be improved by increasing our bandwidth or connection speed with our hosting server ??
or is it a software issue which can be ultimately improved by fine tunning it.??
in short is it a hardware or software issue ??

right now lag is at the minimum possible.. 0.1secs.
Decreasing it further does not make any difference.(infact it increases the BW.) Also right now, on the software side this is all we can do. The lag was 3secs actually and i have made it 0.1.
This is a limitation of flashchat.
we are right now looking for a better alternative(maybe IRC) but depends on host.
OHH…, still the lag is more than **4-5 sec **for me 
Also it’s heavy on system resources.
Every forum I have been on that had a flash chat had one issue or another in the end all went to IRC. and had a Java link on the home page.
Observed twice now…meassages are getting lost, especially from the first few messages.
Edit - One more thing I observed is that sometimes messages get mixed up, ie I send two messages one after other, the second message is displayed first. Makes things really confusing.
already notified SN, but well, remindnig him again, everytime i log in the chat room, i have to log in again in forums, and this is damn annoying…

That is possible. Please try again without Ad-block.
Also, do try it in IE also.
Working perfect here, delay of max 0.4 secs.
is it possible to have a lite skin, say white backgrnd and black text or somthing similar.
also, unless all the members do not participate in this chat thinkgy, it is not gng to be successful.

yep..even working for me in Firefox 1.0.3
though the lag is there, i’m hopeful it will be taken care of soon.
