Both are Good
Depending on where you stay, I will recommend either of you these SMPSs’.
Biggest issue with Seasonic is their poor RMA so it is a gamble really to recommend such expensive components and then they failing on you. Apart from this when it comes to pure performance nothing comes close.
The Corsair GS 500W [recent stocks are actually very different from the initial stocks] represents a decent compromise, it has got the cover to back you up on a bad day and it can take up loads, no issues asked.
Hope this helps, Cheerio!
Hi, I am thinking to buy a netbook. But iam little confused. Please suggest me some ideas to buy the best netbook.
Netbooks are dead tabs are in.
@ALPHA17 HDD prices dipping
1TB price down to ~4.5k
500GB price down to ~3.5k
Please make the price changes.
Thanks Sire, on the way.
@ALPHA17 i noticed that all your setups include only Intel
Could you put some AMD stuff. I think they are equally good for gaming plus the same specs on Intel are costlier than AMD.
AMD Llano chips for an HTPC are the only decent thing that AMD has on the market, I agree that Intel is expensive but it is overall more efficient and powerful vis-á-vis contemporary AMD offerings.
Cannot suggest a budget system that is inferior outright in performance and is inefficient to boot. That is why sadly no AMD builds, hope this changes with the arrival of Piledriver chips and chipsets.
A few prices i’ve compiled of the last couple of days..

Flipkart’s pricing is really pathetic…
They have to protect their own margins and cover their costs.
And in a Tier II / Tier III City / town / cantonment area where computer-walaas are complete businessmen it is actually a very lucrative price (including the delivery aspect).
I know that. It’s what i’ve commented about with regards to their revenue management strategy. I’m sure they’re being governed by their POS data feed in the background (point of sale) but that’s also what makes it more unattractive to metro markets and higher income profiles
ALPHA17 and folks, what would you recommend for value developer machine (.net/sharepoint/bi) with budget of 25k
How about below config …
Components | Name | Price |
---|---|---|
Processor | AMD Phenom II X2 560 Black Edition 3.3GHz Socket AM3 Dual-Core Desktop Processor | 4350 |
Motherboard | GIGABYTE GA-880GM-D2H | 4900 |
RAM | CORSAIR 16GB(2 x 8gb) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 | 7250/2 |
Hard-drive | Seagate Barracuda 500GB | 3700 |
Monitor | LG Monitor E1942C | 5450 |
Cabinet | iBall baby | 1650 |
Keyboard | Microsoft 500 combo | 650 |
Mouse | Included in combo | - |
TOTAL | 24325 |
Thanks
Thanks for the suggestion Zack, though I must point out a glaring problem with RIG, dual-core processor (in my opinion). A build with Core i3 2100 / FX-4100 will perform better and be more efficient at the same time compared to this archaic AMD build (solely my opinion).
Also going for a cheap cabinet + SMPS combo for a developer machine is a strict no-no. As far as possible try to get a decent SMPS at-least, the dabba is your personal call.
DeLL IN2030M a 20" monitor with LED back-light is available for ~500/- -->700/- INR more than this 19" monitor. Makes more sense to go for that.
I will add a machine on similar lines to the list. Cheerio!
ALPHA17 thanks man for responding so quickly
Config changes :
Components | Name | Price |
---|---|---|
Processor |
Intel Core i3 2120 3.3ghz |
|
Motherboard | Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2H (procy-mobo combo) |
** ** |
RAM | CORSAIR 16GB(2 x 8gb) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 | |
Hard-drive | Seagate Barracuda 500GB | |
Monitor | LG Monitor E1942C | |
Cabinet (compact) | iBall baby / Circle / vip |

Keyboard | Microsoft 500 combo | |
Mouse | Included in combo |
In Monitors, Dell was not available at my vendor. Other option for 20" were on higher side considering budget hard limit of 25k. Unfortunately, also have to compromise on PSU
Undecided about Cabinet, looking max. compact case with proximity of this configuration. :23:
Price Info:
Amd Fx 4100 + GIGABYTE GA-880GM-D2H : 11950
Amd x2 560 BE + GIGABYTE GA-880GM-D2H : 9250
Amd x2 260 : 3450
AMD x3 455 Rana : 4750 (but not available in market )
@Zack where are you buying this RIG from? That will come handy to get you a decent configuration as well as where to buy it from.
What’s the price of GA-H61M-D2H-USB3, If its only couple of hundred more than the one (GA-H61M-D2H) recommended for G620 then its a nice option for those who want USB 3.0 connectivity in a budget..
Availability is another bug-bear. I don’t know where it is available (online).
Hmm… I was recommending this mobo to many friends but I guess I’d have to stop recommending it.. Is it available with distributors.. Any other option in ASUS with USB3.0 at this price point.
Also can you confirm if Seagate has increased their warranty to two years or not since a lot of reputed sellers are now listing Seagate HDD’s with 2years warranty…
2TB Seagate Baracuda 5900RPM SATA HDD 2 TB- BILL + 2 YRS Warranty. | eBay
There’s no option of Asus within that budget with USB 3.0,Also i think Segate has given 2YRS Warranty on 2TB HDD’s not on anything less than that.[quote=“HailStonE, post:38, topic:207086”]
