Last man in tower by Arvind Adiga.

Wow, did not know that such a thread existed.

Well, last week finished Inheritance by Christopher Paolini.

Just found this thread and I would like to add my bit that I’m reading Deathly Hallows for… was it the seventh time? :face_with_tongue:

My Engineering textbooks – exams overhead :frowning:

Just finished book 5 of the Game of Thrones. Now waiting eagerly for the next book, as well as the 2nd season on HBO

This series by George Martin is basically lord of the rings on steroids. While lotr was highly detailed wrt the landscape and the languages, now I feel it was lacking depth and complexity in the characters. And it almost completely ignored females. The Song of Ice and Fire has highly developed characters, with intense political scheming, along with plenty of action, romance, sex, etc. The first 4 books were superb page turners, while the last book was a bit slow in places. Lets hope the next one ramps up the excitement again.

even i didnt know about this thread.

^depends on your patience level as well as inclination towards a particular genre (thriller, comedy, romance, etc). You can always start with the likes of Chetan Bhagat, Dan brown, etc.
