The "Everyday" show-off thread ! (Part 2)

I’m sticking with smaller models for now but I can run MiniMax M2.1 Q3 locally (20GB VRAM, 128GB DDR4) although it’s pretty slow.

If the R9700 had 48GB of VRAM I would’ve considered getting a few.

I haven’t tested my GPU with ComfyUI yet, might be a good weekend project.

48gb gets into Pro category i don’t think it will be feasible to burn that much cash on weekend hobbies  I am planning to get 3 more of those pro gpu’s however and have asked for quote for a professional workstation with 256gb ram. Its more of a wishful thinking if i am able to quantify the idea. Rocm support has got better now and almost all workflows i ran worked ok so AMD should be a good bet in long run, Nvidia is way too expensive, I can buy 3 more of these gpu’s for cost of a single 5090.

Newer Xeons were just launched for W890 platform, might have higher bandwidth than Threadripper (or Pro).

RDIMM pricing is just awful though. Way worse than even current DDR5 pricing.

I got a quote of 20k/32gb stick along with the workstation overall the workstation was a bit expensive considering age, but yea i am on lookout.

Arc A770, Mi50, 7900 xtx, 9070 xt, RTX 5090 7more gpt-oss:20b. Linux llama.cpp vulkan + hip + sycl.

This is still perfect video to sum up the cards running Llama cpp and how they react + power consumption.

If you follow through the channel - you have lots of options for Home AI Build.

MI50/MI60 Cards on eBay had me enticed but importing them to India is nightmare

Try a freight forwarder like fashion soles on Telegram. They can purchase directly from Alibaba and charge 10%. They have a per kilo shipping rate, and you’ll have to pay customs plus local courier charges.

The pleasure is all mine

A necessary splurge or should i say an investment and a deserving gift to my car in her birth month..

Upgrade part-1

  • New tyres- Bridgestone Turanza 6i with a slightly up-sized profile.

  • New premium speaker setup- Morel Tempo Ultra 602 MKII and Morel Maximo 6 MKII 2- 4x Components with 2x Crossovers/ 4x tweeters. Best part is Honda gives in-built speaker space with grille within the doors itself to avoid drilling on A and B pillars which seriously is logical decision and helps keeps the interior looks stock and pretty clean.

I know an amp would have amped up the entire system & juice out every bit of performance but still I’m happy without it at least ftw. The bass and trebles are extremely crisp even on the stock player and the best part is, no usual trr trr speaker tearing noise even when the volume is past 90% unlike many setups out there which is a platinum level plus exp. and no words for the satisfaction on this premium setup. No need for a woofer its that great!

  • All 4 door sound dampening/noise insulation- For minimal outside noise disturbance. Smooth audio exp. in traffic, highways or any rough roads.

  • Muffler tip- Adds and enhances aesthetics and also comes with an internal filter grill.

  • Mirror finish door foot step sill plate- Truly enhances the visual appeal of my car along with enhanced safety and visibility. Got it configured in a true Logical manner- Glows independently for each door rather than the usual common all doors dumb glow configured on the in-cabin roof light irrespective of the doors opened. Thanks to my mechanic!

  • Car Seat Gap Filler and Organizer.

  • Wired Vacuum cleaner with Car Cigarette Lighter 4 mtr extension cable- Worry free cleaning across inside/outside of the car without worrying about that wireless battery drain and charging and the rush to hurry up wrapping the cleaning job.

Bought some stuff from CES last month.

Minisforum 125h with 1tb, 32gb storage and oculink. It connects to the deg2 dock to use my old 2080ti as my htpc.

Got the 8bitdo Xbox controller.

And a ottocast p3 pro to watch YouTube and netflix in my car.

Wait, you can BUY stuff at CES?!

Twenty-five years of reading/watching CES coverage and not a single person mentioned this!

Sshhhh! On the last day, some brands sell their stuff cause they don’t wanna fly it back or just have extra samples for distributors. Not everything goes so they just sell for cash on the last day of CES.

Most YouTubers aren’t jugadu. Lol
