All u have to do is,
Click on POST REPLY button instead of using quick reply,
in the editor that opens, on the right side, the smilie menu u get, has a small link at the bottom saying “More”. click on that, a new page loads with a large variety of smilies.

Alternatively, you can use the codes used for smilies
eg:

for :tongue:
and so on if u r using the quick reply :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
