The Trumps & Elon tweets thread (Had to make this since it's never ending)

Even with that, few times their statistics were told to be cooked up. May be even this 1.8L figure is not trustworthy.

Same reply again

Come back in a years time with the same stats

Doing it now is a wate of time and shows nothing

The first year still has effects of the policies of the previous administration. Economy is a massive thing. Think momentum. Just because POTUS changed doesn’t mean economy suddenly flips. It takes time

Only from the second year on can we attribute whatever effect to the policy of the current administration

Yes, that’s all true but they had over a million new jobs created in 2024.

India has consistently maintained that the understanding on cessation of hostilities with Pakistan was reached following direct talks between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of the two militaries.

His fragile ego is hurt lol.

^Important ruling with consequences

So.. this was the GOI strategy to handling Trump’s tatiffs?

Wait for SCOTUS to rule

The real question is, why did the other countries seemingly accept and reciprocate the tariffs? Everyone either went tit for tat or pleaded their case for lower tariffs.

Are their economies that fragile/exposed and dependent on/intertwined with the US?

India resisted playing in the mud until very recently and now it’s turned out that it was all for nothing.

It’s not often I’m made to feel proud of this country, but this moment is one of them.

The US supreme court decision on tariffs isn’t good news. There were no constitutional or moral arguments, only disagreements on how to interpret the an old statute.

Judicial activism is cancer. If an elected leader can’t decide the foreign policy, what is the point of an election. I am sure our judges are salivating right now.

Lol. That is the specialty of usa starting wars and botching up and in the end having longterm consequences to everyone in the world.

Iran will be different. If at all the US does anything

Yeah, the usual this time it’s different excuse… As if this is new.

That’s the other thing I’m unsure about.

This different excuse business is usually a leftie thing. Make shit up. Right wingers don’t do that

Serbia? Blair invented this thing called R2P. Responsibility to protect. Makes a mockery of the concept of sovereignty. Because a posse of states can decide one state is misbehaving and then do a collective action.

Libya? They reused R2P

Both Serbia & Libya conducted by Democrat presidents

I don’t think Trump will use R2P

So what is the pretext to attack Iran?

If Iran attacks first then it’s self defense
If Iran cheats on nuclear its enforcing NPT

These are both justified

It’s USA doing it forever, it’s not about left or right.

There are differences in worldview between both parties that are important to understand.

Ukraine wouldn’t have happened if a Republican was in office because Republicans do not see Russia as a threat. And at half the GDP of India how could Russia be to the EU whose collective GDP exceeds the US.

Democrats started that one

On China both are similar but Trump deserves credit for being first at changing a half century policy from engagement to competition

Iran again, Democrats see Iran as a balancer and Israel as a troublemaker. This dumbass view guarantees there will always be conflict because Israel is prevented from winning anything with adversaries. Republican view is Israel as hegemon of the region is the only way to have peace in the region. Hamas out. Islamic republic also out (hopefully). All other Iranian proxies out as well due to no funding

Because Israel has always been willing to live in peace with its neighbours. The opposite isn’t true.

He really seems to be furiously enraged at India, still best phriend ?, difficult to think like this.

A childrens toy company challenged the tariffs they would have to pay as a result of importing made in india toys..

… and won (!)

Am more interested to see best phriend’s furious, seething response, after justice is delivered. Will this mean more future trouble for India as discussed in: https://news24online.com/world/trump-looking-for-excuses-to-impose-tariff-on-india-us-congressman-issues-warning-expresses-fear-of/752553/
