Thinking of starting a 3d printing service

Uhh yes

Sorry guys its just too much hassle.

Thanks

My few cents after thinking about offering such services many times in the past few years. Never try to compete just basis on per gram price. One bad clog, blown up motor, worn belt and suddenly it’s not worth it. One fluctation or mcu hiccup and multi hr failed print is just salt on wounds. Also shipping turns into a big hassle once the parts starts getting bigger.

Think about creating something which solves a problem and offer that as a product. Maybe rethink your strategy and come up with the offering again?

I have also thought about this but honestly its not a good idea if you just want to do this as a hobby. Personally this is what i struggled with -

  1. It’s difficult to find clients.
  2. You will have to monitor prints, your price of 1.5rs per gram is very low, you will have to factor cost of failed prints and your time, not to mention the cost of running that printer.

Also, if anyone needs any prints do let me know.
