TNT2 M64 on AGP 4x & 8x only motherboard

can tnt2 m64 work on 4x&8x only motherboard?

It sure can. If i am not mistaken RivaTNT2 M64 is a AGP 4X card as well..

Depends on whether its an AGP 2.0 or 1.0 based card.

Dont think so… I think its an AGP 2x and not 4x…

thats why ask here. tnt2 m64 agp 2.0 or 1.0. Asus tnt2 m64?

Its AGP 4X compatible!

very well sir.

I used to have a TNT2 M64, and was running it on an AGP8x board without any trouble  Of course it was running in AGP4x mode, but that should mean you shouldnt have any compatibility problems running it even on an AGP 8x board.

That means that card is AGP 4x and not 2x…

Astute observation

Its suports both 2x and 4x. It will work on mobos that support 2x or 4x

An agp 4x card will work on an agp 8x board at 4x speed . However an agp 2x card will not work on an agp 8x board . In other words on boards with AGP 8x compatibility ,AGP 4x and AGP 8x cards will work, and AGP 2x cards wont work .

AGP 2x boards are 1.0 specs board with 3.3 Volts slot hence most of the old AGP cards wont run on the new mobo. AGP 2.0 and 3.0 specifications are 1.5V slots. But I believe Asus card is backward compatible which work on most boards… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

my problem is over please close this.

Well an AGP 2x card will not work on a board which is an AGP 8x only as they have closed the notch which allows the AGP 2x card to fit on the board but 4x would work on the same board…
