^^^ I Concur!!!
Distant Dream:(
We do not think it is feasible to move from 256 kbps to 2Mbps in one shot. If at all the definition has to be revised then they should move to 512kbps, otherwise it will be too costly for both operators and subscribers,†said a GSM player.
am sure that was airtel!
this is going on since 2 years, still wait & watch …
This is interesting and gives me some hope, as I don’t have Airtel BB in my area.
Thanks
Lolz… what that article does not mention is that it also has FUP involved so after 100GB Up+down, FUP will reduce speeds to 512kbps… which means customers will be paying more for a 512kbps connection then they were paying earlier…
If BSNL & MTNL matches the price & does not include FUP like what it is now, then I can see more people shunning AIRTEL & going for state owned ISP’s…
I will be the first one… :ashamed:
Been hearing that for 2yrs now..
MTNL will surely spring a surprise this august…but dnt think it wud overshadow airtel’s plans totally…maybe they wud be a little more value for money…but dere pathetic service wud still continue
MTNL first need to improve their line and support. I always face frequent disconnection and there is no support when you need.
xactly…
Lol!! even if they change it to 1rs/GB I wont mind paying extra!
Hah, whaddya know, no more commies all things become possible
Interesting how they quote the number of customers for these companies
BSNL = 4 million
Airtel = 1.25 million
So number of households with internet in India is still < 5%, assuming 250 million households
Unless TRAI allows foreign players to have a big role in India Broaband industry, speeds will be a mess here. Just check Pakistans speeds, they are far better than us.. u can get 4Mbps UL in Rs 1200 (Indian Currency)
How big a role do foriegn companies have in Pak’s broadband ?
