Bro my 10 year old loves age of mythology extended edition. Got him hooked this summer. Only PC game he plays. Running on an ancient (15 years old, win 10) acer 5738g core 2 duo laptop connected (hdmi to dvi) to a 17 inch 5:4 screen.
Now I love romhacks (nes/snes/genesis/gba) and scummvm. Super mario world (snes) is my favorite game of all time. Some newish retro indie games of mixed genres - Dead cells, black paradox, defence grid 1/2, TMNT shredders revenge and demon’s tilt.
My gamepass ultimate is expiring in 2 weeks. My son uses it for fc26 and cricket. Also I don’t own a series s/x console.
Have had game pass ultimate since it started. Haven’t bought many games for the xbox one s/x because of this.
Will buy 6/12 months core + 1 month ultimate from amazon, will get 5/9 months of ultimate or pickup 1 yr ultimate for 6k from the forum. Hopefully the prices don’t rise immediately here.

Jokes on them I already gave up gaming.
In such cases I like the fact that I am super choosy when it comes to games and I don’t have any interest in almost all of the AAA games or most mainstream games. I play a few games a year and I am happy with it. They aint generally demanding on my pc too so I don’t have to worry about upgrading. Life as a gamer is simple when you don’t want to play every major title releases. Playing games by AA studio like Tales of arise, 13 sentinel aegis rim, Trails in the sky first chapter, danganronpa, Steins gate, utawaruremono, etc. These games although not mainstream have absolutely banger story!

I’m pretty happy with my bachelor’s life and my dating life. My sister got married, and I have a nephew. So my parents got their grandkid, as well.
Maybe things may change down the road. The girl who changes my mind will definitely be a keeper.
