Wall Mounting 55-Inch TV that has just TWO Mounting Screws

How does one go about mounting a 55-inch TV that has provision for just two mounting screws on the back side.
The Quick-Start Guide suggests VESA 300x300 should work. However, nearly every Wall Mount on Amazon/Flipkart has provision for 4 Screws, which makes sense.
The Two Screw setup would obviously work for the Stationary Wall Mount that is like “hanging” the TV. Something like this:

However, I would prefer to install a Wall Mount with Swivel and Tilt. Something like this:
Single Arm:

Dual Arms:

If anyone has any experience with mounting a TV with just two screws, please advise.
Alternatively, can anyone confirm if Wall Mounts can be secured to the TV with just Two Screws.
I have called a few technicians, but they are reluctant to come if you do not have the Wall Mount purchased, delivered, and ready to be installed.
Please Help.

Hmm, Two screws for a 55inch TV:thinking:

What brand & How heavy is the TV?

There are a lot of tilt swivel mounts which have the TV connector like the one you posted in first pic. Flipkart has these ones in range of 1400-2000 and Amazon has ones in range of 2500 to 3500.

I would not recommend a movable mount with just 2 screws. Your TV is going to fall in a month, if that.

Install using a fixed mount. You can buy the mount locally. It will be cheaper and you can verify the quality or you can ask the technician to bring it.

Which TV is it?

Can you share a picture of the back of the TV?

I would avoid using a fixed mount for a 55inch TV, each time you need to unplug or plug in an HDMI or audio cable, you’ll have to take the TV down every time.

Fixed mount only makes sense for smaller TV’s like 32inch

The holes marked in Yellow have proper threads for screws.
The holes marked in Red do not seem to have threads for screws, and these holes are quite small compared to the top holes. These holes might be barely enough for ensuring the mounting brackets do not rotate.

I will try to get better photos shortly as it is a little risky to move the TV.

Shoukd have 5-6

Just rechecked. There are no 5-6 Screw mounting holes. The bulged bottom side has speakers inside.
Only the top two holes have metal inserts with provision for mounting screws.
Yes, it seems very weird that there are only two “Proper” Mounting points. Perhaps the manufacturer offered a way to merely “hang” the TV on the cheapest wall mount, which consists of a simple mounting rod fixed to wall, and the TV hung on it with two hangers, one each on the mounting holes.
I have seen such a setup in several offices and homes, but most have been 32-inch TVs, usually for CCTV monitoring.

Okay, find out the brand and model no too

No. Most TVs come with side mounted ports now as does OP’s TV.

My TV is installed on a cabinet that has shelves on either side, which means that regardless of how easy the ports are to reach, they remain inaccessible to me. My life got easier when I got the movable swivel mount.

Here are two images of the TV’s backside.

As evident from the images, Secure VESA Mounting holes are marked in Yellow.
The holes marked in Red do not have any threaded inserts.

I think there are screw threads on the bottom as well. I can see some metal shining in the photos. It would make no sense for the manufacturer to make holes without threads. Did you try screwing in correct sized screws? Just use your hands to screw them in without the mount.

There is no metal. And there are no screw threads on the bottom.

It appears there are just two secure mounting holes and that too only on the top side.

If there are genuinely no screw holes on the lower side then your only option is to use the TV stand provided & place it on a table or cabinet

OR you could consider getting VESA mount adapter which is typically available for monitors tho I’m not sure about its availability for a 55 inch TV

If you don’t mind the risk of falling then follow what @codwapeace said and get a fixed mount from a local store

Yes, this seems to be the primary option.
It is by far the cheapest option and the simplest.
I was hoping to install a swivel mount that allows me to tilt and sway the TV for an optimum viewing angle.

The simple wall “hanging” mount offers no freedom of rotating, tilting, or swaying the TV. It is, however, the easiest and quickest to setup and hang the TV.

Based on the number or availability of mounting screws, these two seem like a good option:
Option 1 (non-rotating, but offers 10-degree tilt)

Option 2 (No Tilting option, but with dual arms for swivel/sway)

Option 3: (+/- 15-Degree Tilt, 120-Degree Swivel/Sway)

Bro there are 4 screw holes

Remove the bottom plastic thingy to expose them

I tried to remove the bottom plastic thingy. But it is part of the entire body. Cannot remove it.
It just looks like a reverse/inwards cap.
