i want to buy a graphics card from a person from reddit but we are far away to make F2F deal.
i thought of using JD’s group admin to make a deal. I am very confused about the group whether i am in real of fake group.If anyone have made a deals deals in the JD’s group leave your comment on admin’s reliability.I was looking for original group’s link and admins profile’s link just to verify and proceed with the deal.

I did. Last year, sold this single stick of RAM through FB, to a guy in Delhi.
Dealt via admin. I think JD charged 1% or 2%, I forgot. The guy took a few days to send the money, citing some personal problems. But eventually sent it.
Everything worked out fine. Overall meh experience. If there’s no other alternative, then go ahead ig.
what exactly was the issue / reason for ban ?
There used to be a reseller named ganesh on TE. What exactly happened to him ? Why was he banned ?
I think better clarification would be
He was banned for deal sniping.
He would buy whatever good deals come up here, and sell on his FB group.
As far as I know, there were no scams involved.
I myself have bought loads of stuff through him being an admin without issues, but all were deals on his group. This was all before I joined and became active on TE.
There was one deal that went pretty south with him being an admin, but it was not his fault.
I sold some 4 mining used cards (in warranty but had rust on them) for about 23-24K/unit to a kid in Mumbai through him as admin, and that kid basically dropshipped those cards to a third person.
I had tested them all to be working fine and shared all proofs beforehand, but the third person complained (few days after testing warranty was over) about some cards not working, and the kid sold/shipped those cards from that third person to 4th person who again said they are not working.
My deal was with kid and when testing period was over and cards were confirmed to be received in same condition I shipped them in, I had already gotten my money from JD.
Then the kid’s dad, and some GPU repair guys from Delhi got involved (big names in GPU mining at that time) and tried to pressure me by calling me 15-20 times a day to take the dead cards back which I politely declined, since I shipped working cards and the original buyer did no testing on his own but shipped to two different guys in god knows what condition.
In the end, some combination of Delhi GPU repair group guys and the kid RMA’d the rusted cards through their influence, and sold the RMA’d cards for more than 50K/piece as far as I know (JD and I were not given a sniff of this profit or the news by those guys).

Jd was banned for buying in forum and reselling in forum itself for higher rates
After his ID was banned, he used another member id to buy an sell, which was reported to the mods. But these ID"s never made it to the check before buying thread
I never said he was banned for SCAMS.
What he did to get banned is messed up, I liked his deals.
Broke forum rules, repeatedly.
I asked for a quote for buying new sealed components from Jaydip and he sent me Vivian Julius of Elixir Computers from Coimbatore from where I bought my AM5 new setup and it’s working until now.
Vivian also gave me a slight discount and also I bought new sealed cabinet and CPU cooler from Arun Petachi who is also on TE as well as in JD tech group as well.
All are working well. Both gave me full bills.
I might be in the minority but if someone buys something at Rs X and then sells at Rs Y, higher or lower, it shouldn’t matter. As long as it’s not a scam or stolen goods it shouldn’t matter !
So, you agree with his ban or do you think it was unreasonable?
Got graphic card and ram from his group, he was the middle man. Overall experience was good nothing out of the ordinary.
He’s a reseller. It’s his job to buy and resell / act as middleman for a small fee. Maybe we shouldn’t ban people just for reselling. Only for stolen goods / outright scams. We need more competition in the reseller marketplace here at TE.

Every now and then deals pop up here, where people mention they bought it from te itself, there’s nothing wrong in that, but making it a business just to make a quick buck is also wrong imo..
I don’t know who JD is, or what exactly happened, but this seems like a win only for him?

What he did was messed up, being part of TE is a privilege, it’s the modern-day equivalent of our great-grandfather’s gentlemen club.
You abide by a code of ethics to maintain your standing/membership.
What he did was perfectly legal but not ethical.
He had a good thing here but he messed it up.
He abused his privilege for a quick profit.
Just like a few other members.
People forget their honour.
May be this platform is not suited for his purposes.
can i have his facebook profile or group’s link. i hear that lot of fake groups are present. i just want to verify before proceeding for purchase.
JD is banned from most of the forums for delaying payments in admin deal and using it for his payments and all and stealing deals and reselling at a higher price
