why everyone is running for a specific milestone for retirement? the more you will have, the better. btw why anyone need to retire? work in a different field, there are many jobs that are light and still gives money. our grandmothers, grandfathers used to work even on 70-80 and now people are making retirement plan in this conflicted, unpredictable society. make as much as you can. and don’t forgot yourself and your family in this process. That’s all.

i have personally get abused and mental trauma from GST and Tax department. I stopped respecting government officials long time ago. i have no faith in system, nor in any of the 4 pillars.

  • yt trend i guess
  • i think when ‘working’ people refer to retirement most if not all want to retire from the toxic/boss/bs work culture/work schedule and work as per their peace of mind… this is a guess btw.

ok then the best time is now. yeah, one can cry about this. toxic environment with money < pease with family.

It all depends on how early you are retiring and how long you expect to live afterwards. There was a formula to calculate for this on an Indian sub-reddit that I forgot the name of. (FIRE something?).
Roughly speaking the amount: Living alone in a rural area ? 80 lakhs to 1 crore, in cities? 1.5 crore. Multiply that by 0.5-0.7x extra for each additional family member. Wanna live a posh lifestyle with a family of 4? 10 crore minimum, maybe more in a major city.

A better question is, how long you gotta live?

10 crore for 2 people, inflation will go higher.

fk, that escalated quickly.
i think everyone wanna live at least till they hit 80-85

you are asking wrong question, right question is, how long the gove give you to live.

Ahh. Delhiite can retire sooner, I guess.

not limited to Delhi, when Gate Foundation funds the Indian healthcare system.

Don’t forget that Bonefix solution addiction in children. Remember Kamlesh? seems like it get limited to meme instead of actual solution that was needed.

Well you will be investing everything into your preference of asset and taking out only what’s needed and when. This way you combat inflation and gain back a few percentage as well. If we assume inflation to be at a fixed rate of 7% (it’s lower but lets assume) and you gain 10% ROI (which is an expected return on S&P 500, 12-15% for mutual funds) that will leave you with 3% which depending on your corpus can be a large amount of passive income. 3% of 10 crores is 2 lakhs 50 thousnd PER MONTH.
