good list, might add some from it, i just use basic addons (ublock origin, dark reader, youtube addons) on vivaldi for now

Main browser is Librewolf.

Plugins

  • UbO with many custom filters
  • Bitwarden
  • A few wallets

Floorp is my secondary browser

Additionally it has

  • Violent monkey

Firefox support multi account containers by default. Floorp has a great UI to make use of this feature.

On phone, I use Ironfox, Iceraven, and Fennec.

I switch between Firefox and Helium

Extensions are usually

  • UbO - filtering
  • Bitwarden - password manager
  • Violentmonkey - userscripts
  • Stylus - changing styles/removing elements i don’t want on websites
  • Imagus - hover to enlarge image
  • Search by Image - use it to search on Tineye/Yandex mostly, personally find better results there than Google

I also used stuff like Enhancer for YouTube and Untrap previously, but they keep breaking after YouTube updates, so I ended up achieving similar functionality with Violentmonkey + Stylus

Helium has been pretty good from performance POV so far (hogs less RAM/CPU than Firefox for me), my only gripe is the vertical tabs functionality is very nascent, pretty solid apart from that.

It doesn’t have DRM support either but I managed to link Chrome’s DRM to it by following some post online.

I do not know about extension’s privacy policies but I will be very wary about extensions like these.

I recommend you to check privacy policies before commuting to extensions like this

I use Vivaldi on my PC as well as Android mobile as my main browser

  • DuckDuckGo Search and Tracker Protection
  • Ublock Origin
  • Multiselect for Youtube: Useful for multiple selection of videos in playlists
  • LinkGrabber: Extracting links on the page
  • SingleFile: Saves the current page to a single self-contained file
  • Have switched my default search engine to DuckDuckGo and it serves me adequately. In case I need to switch to google I open an incognito window and search.

Use Firefox with multi-account containers for netflix

Use Chrome portable edition for visiting sites like govt sites which do not function well with Vivaldi or have a stringent browser requirement.

Arc Browser on Windows. Zen on Linux.

For add-ons, I use uBlock Origin (Lite) and Keepa.

I use Firefox plus uBlock on windows machine and brave for youtube.

On mac I was on Arc but lately I use firefox more.

On all my phones I use firefox focus.

I was huge on chrome but ultimately had to move away. No special add ons for me, just a simple adblocker

what would one use userscripts for ? asking out of curiosity..

Mostly to alter some functionality on a website

I use it to alter some stuff on YouTube to make it less bloated/easier to use for myself, since extensions keep breaking after YouTube updates, so easier to fix stuff myself

Some common userscripts include bypassing short links/tracking links
