LTSC will work without activation? the server version get shutdown so. 11 pro still seems slow and bloated.
Try upgrading the ram if possible 8gb is making win 11 run slow imo
I have tried Win11 and Win 11 IOT Enterprise both . I generally format my Laptop every 8/9 months so have used both extensively .
Win 11 IOT no issues , runs like butter but one con was Win Store , which can be added without much fuss . People might say you took IOT for moving out of MS crap but without MS crap you cant utilsie your OS properly . You cannot install Whatsapp , Auto saving of Screenshot doesnt work , JPEG image extension , AVC /HEVC /AV9 encoder give issues .
So i had to install MS store and get all the above apps
Now coming to Win1124H2 or 25H2 which i am presently running .
My steps are always fixed - Use tiny11builder - GitHub - ntdevlabs/tiny11builder: Scripts to build a trimmed-down Windows 11 image.
I use tiny11maker and not tiny11core
Get a clean debloated self made ISO , then use Rufus - remove all restrictions
Finish install then use OFGB - GitHub - xM4ddy/OFGB: GUI Tool To Remove Ads From Various Places Around Windows 11 & Shutup10++ O&O ShutUp10++ - O&O Software GmbH to customise it like st0p tracking , Ads , stope all background Apps etc
OOSU10 is my favourite and the best app even better than Floobye GitHub - builtbybel/Flyoobe: Fly through your Windows 11 setup 🐝
We will have 3rd party tools for all of this - irfanview/vlc/smplayer etc etc.
I have no issues without store on win 10 ltsc. Havent looked at win 11 ltsc. I dont use whatsapp on desktop though.
Do you see adverts on win 11 ltsc ?
I agree about replacements but adding another app is same as giving away your data . So best is to give away to MS only and have all the functionality which you are used to
Whatsapp on desktop is a super important requirement in family with auto saving screenshot in Win OS
Self is not the only user of Win OS . Have 4 PC/Laptop and try moving a family member especially wife ….

Not really, not all apps do that. I dont think these ones do, vlc is opensource and available on linux too.
And anyway you can use a firewall like simplewall to block outgoing from 3rd party apps.
Anyway, if you need apps from store, may as well install it.
When I am already giving my data to MS in Win11 and M365 Premium what effect 1 or 2 Apps will have . I have already removed all unnecessary apps , tracking , AI

Well no additional apps got installed during updates . Tracking was enabled but again switched off using OFGB and OOSU10
I meant feature updates not the security updates. If not now, then at any point MS can sneak them in.
I am running windows on all the PCs we use at work. Ranging from an Intel Atom (Circa 2010) to AMD 8840. (24 Computers - PCs, Mini PCs, Laptops, Surface Devices included) I however rarely run the regular Windows 11 because I hate the crap it comes with. So I usually debloat and make my own ISOs or use ones that are already trimmed down - based on how important security is.
Since most systems are used for basic word processing, and web based work without any sensitive data - using a custom build is not much of an issue.
Have had no problems whatsoever even with updates enabled.
Can you share the debloated iso?
