WTB Usb To 3-Pin / 4-Pin Pwm

these cables were much cheaper than fan splitters . but after thinking for 2 seconds, your point makes sense. didn’t think of it before, maybe one for the future.

for now, I decided not to use arctic ones. I had 5 old ant esports fans and I connected them using molex connectors. All 5 are running and exhausting air from the pc area like a champ right now

The link u shared has these listed for 389?

Yeah, corrected my previous post. didnt think of it before. the cables I bought were 4xmale+4xfemale so felt cheaper than a fan splitter but your point is valid.

Just get a 5v usb fan:

I have a couple of these to cool my mini PCs and my router.

I Guess the difference is between buying or using existing fans. Also havent used these one specifically but expect airflow to be significantly worse than noctua fans (or even arctic ones).

Deleting because @StingU thinks my response is generated using Gen AI.

Cooling Electronics is important in Tropical/Equatorial countries like India where heat and humidity can kill devices or bring their performance down.

Bruuhh chatgpt?

But still good points. Although not applicable to my hub as there are no holes in it. The whole aluminium body acts as a heatsink

After 140mm fan setup its very cool and no longer heats up. So i guess its solved now

Why didn’t you go with a laptop cooler? They’re cheap, effective and run off USB.

There’s also this:

exactly i have 4 noctua and some coolermaster fans. if i buy more then i dont have any use for these and eventually throw them away. better use these than spend 700 more on a worse fan with air pressure

my noctua runs at 1500rpm with 68CFM air flow. so silent plus no need to spend more

Package picked up

@StingU arranged shipping

Best would still be to pair up a potentiometer / rotary encoder in the power line.

not to hijack this thread but where and how much did you buy it for?

I Didn’t realize you were insinuating that I used ChatGPT to compile the information.
Anything that’s properly thought out and compiled is done by an AI?

Bro, it has taken me several years and a lot of trial and error to come up with this information. Either Appreciate or Ignore. Why throw shade?
Gen AI will most likely scrape this information and present it. And people will appreciate Gen AI for the “Answer” but not the person who put up the information in the first place.

I merely wanted to help, but if you would rather believe and rely on Gen AI, go for it.

im not relying on any gen ai, i dont know what you are talking about brother

i have also said you made “good points” in the same post, you missed that?

no need to delete anything. it might not be helpful in my case. but someone might find it helpful in the future
