Occasionally you run into a game where the characters and world pull you in, to where it feels kind of like a social experience to me, and that becomes a draw in itself. But, there’s no one game that’s going to do that for everyone, so you have to keep exploring, and bouncing off of stuff will be a part of the process.
I think there’s a 9.8/10 chance it won’t be for you, but if you’re curious enough, might as well look into the recommendations of the others here.
It’s that main town/settlement area on the major planet where you spend most of the time that has the worst stuttering.
I haven’t really played most of this series, but release order generally makes more sense to me (with remasters/remakes preferred, if done well), to avoid tech/design regression issues, and also, to consume the content in the order of conception (I’d expect prequels to potentially suppose the knowledge of subsequent events, so the implications of the build up/events can hit different).
Yeah the only issue would be with the graphics but imo they hold really well despite being from 2002 and the HD remaster of the game is pretty good, also it has tank controls which might be off putting for some people but it takes like 10-15 mins max to get used to it and it’s really fun
yeah, i will skip these with old camera style and probably skip other very old ones too. Not looking to play everything, just wanted an idea on which games to look at with more modern approach. So many games to play, i dont think i will bother with everything.
Yeah i am already there for some time. Done with moon base too and now back here.
I see just some occasional traversal stutter which happens in unreal games. Even Fallen order had some.
Not saying that that’s great but its not much worse than other games. I dont see the animation error, maybe i am not sensitive to it. I dont look at the 3rd person character when playing games, maybe that helps. Dunno. There is a new mod fix for this animation error, but i wont use it as it increases latency for something that i dont see.
I do have a stronger cpu than gpu, 4k + 3080 7800x3d + DLSS4 performance preset k. Depending on area i get 70s 80s and 90s fps with optimized settings. Occasionally it seems to go to 55-60 and then back without moving so seems to be doing something in background - that’s the only weird new thing i see.
Anyway, this games seems to be a good jump over Fallen order in almost everything. Sep Drones are fun.
