stuck

friends battery is swollen and stuck in APC BE700Y-IND compartment. tried possible methods & could not succeed. of course, both UPS & battery are out of warranty tried separating UPS case .. could not not sure if there is a screw beneath the battery. suggestions please .. can't take the UPS...
