Here comes the first 1.2GHz 3 Core Processor tab in India that too at attractive price of 9.5k. Screen is capacitive. processor is Telechip 8803 - Cortex A8, up to 1.2GHz three core processor with CPU, GPU and VPU.It has HDMI output ,720p/1080i video playback, OTG cable included.

It seems this is single core..
I don't buy that a triple core tablet (IF at all) would be launched with only 512 MB RAM..
 
WHich triple core is this? Any idea what? Because nowhere are there ARM triple cores by any of the main chip makers

Its not a triple core. It's some clever wordplay which is absolutely not true.

"The 3-core claim seems to have arisen from the fact that the Telechips 8803 Cortex-A8 processor used in this device, could be said to be an SoC (System-on-a-Chip). This means the processor (CPU) is also handling the graphics component (GPU/VPU), instead of handing off the duties to a separate GPU (such as the Adreno or PowerVR GPU). Its awesome for its price point. Will be interesting to see how it's build quality, battery life and display is. I hope they haven't compromised quality for price!
 
Its just a single core cortex a8/mali 200,not all that bad really.
but isnt the tri core they claim to be.

I think this should be similar to Gpad 702 and its cousins.
 
Anyways not bad 9.5k though and also one question will this be able to handle new 3d accelerometer games like Shift etc?
 
9.5k !!!

Now really confused should i get a netbook 10"(12k) or a tablet....

Btw only need -

watching tv shows and movies only

and ocassionally pdf files
 
^^Tab, if ur only requirement is movies and tv shows there is no point in going for a nettop, except for the 10" screen.
