A: Would like a decent android if possible,as I have used symbian for a long time.

A: Prefer QWERTY,however can go with a touchscreen.

6. Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Want a good camera,flash

7. Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android/symbian - am currently using the N78.

A: 3G,Wifi.

A: Phone calls,camera,email

i ve bought a defy a week back..my 1st android
its camera is average..
voice quality is nice..
apps and developer support is very good..
most of the games work lag free(fruit ninja lags)..
battery life is decent..lasts a day on a full charge..
browsing the net is also smooth...
ve read on forums that the battery and performance improves after modding..
about the sony..it has smaller sreen so i didnt go for it...also the defy's community support is better than the sk17i.

if u are gonna buy the phone then i would rather suggest Letsbuy..

they ve a 5% discount coupon ILUVLETSBUYHM...so you would save ~750rs and also get the bluetooth headsets along with it..

and plus they give you a assured gift i guess(diwali offer)

i got my delivery within 2 days..

ordered it on thursday night and saturday morning the package was delivered with all the extra freebies that were mentioned..

a lot of other people on the forum have bought stuff from letsbuy and most of them ve given positive feedback..

it is the same phone...the entire name is Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro SK17i...

in the video review shown on flipkart too the guy calls it mini pro..

i received my shipment through blue dart..

^^ Use coupon 'icicilb' or 'amexlb' for 10% discount (or flat 1200 discount after Rs.10000).. You gotta buy through the respective cards though.. Also I read somewhere that SE Mini has some hardware issues.. Check that out prior hand..

My suggestion would be to go for DEFY.. Owning it for 6 months, ear piece failed, but warranty covered it.. Excellent phone, Lots and lots of custom ROMs, hard to brick the phone.. :)

UPDATE: In letsbuy, DEFY is 13,599 after applying discount, which includes free accessories worth 1200.. Great deal if you ask me..

UPDATE 2 : It's the Deal of the Day, it might be over after midnight..
