In this article, we will be comparing the performance of all the hard drives we can get our hands on. This would be similar to our Intel Core 2 Processor Performance Comparison Guide. It may start off small, but we intend to keep adding new hard drives and even new benchmarks as we go along. Let's take a look at the hard drives we have rounded up for this comparison.

nice but not upto mark. doesnt include 7200.11 or wd 640aaks

I just finished transferring 297GB of miscellaneous (lota big n some small) files 4m a WD 500GB to WD 640GB... got an avg speed of 61MB/sec with the max of 67MB/sec n it neva went below 60MB/sec in Vista. Took me 1hr10mins, approx.

And, I got an avg speed of 78MB/sec while transferring another 120GB of avi & mkv file.

I ve never had this kind of speed, ever be4 :hap2:
