A single 16GB SO-DIMM module costs above $100 + import taxes + shipping. You can buy a used mini-pc/laptop with 2 x 8GB DDR4 included worth that amount. I was in your shoes once. 16GB sticks are unobtanium in India.

Unfortunately I have just one slot, which i want to max out. I'll seek a 16 GB stick at a reasonable price for the time being.. but may look into 8gb stick later if I'm unsuccessful. Appreciate your feedback though.
