just got my 40 inch Sammy B650.Just want a 16 Gb pen drive that's compatible with this tv so that i can view hd movies stored on this drive by connecting it directly to the usb port of the tv.
Heard corsair flash drives doesn't work with sammys.

Pen Drive compatible with TV?

Samsung TVs do have an usb port but that is only used for viewing images and listening to mp3s.

Another thing dvd players that support usb drives are Divx players. They don't play H264 encoded files. The max resolution supported by some of these players are 720x576.

Solution: Get a WD Media Player or build a HTPC

^ you are wrong man, the 650 series does support playback of MKV, WMV, AVI etc and reads off both NTFS and FAT systems :)

@OP : Congrats on the purchase do post some pics in showoff, I'll check with a corsair drive on my 5 series and let u know.

TV itself act as a source, no need to a HTPC or other similar decide. that's a news!

hope this feature is soon made available in other models as well.
