i dunnoo...will wait for some other review site to check it out . this more or less looks like a pc review rather than a detailed GFX card review .

The difference seems too much... the XTX crossfire leads by 200-300% in some benchies..

As they say if it sounds too good to be true it probably is...

will have to wait for some more reviews...

:) The interesting thing is both the falcon systems seem to be almost identical except for the graphics cards...

In hat case amd seems to have a winner but we still have to wait and see

how come only 1 site sees so much of difference whereas every1 else has a different result, no doubt 2900xt seems to have the raw power but still uptill now no other reviewer has been able to demonstrate its superiority over the GTX except this.

^^^^ironical link to the headline of this thread, so 2900xt here gets beaten here by 8800gtx and i think everyone here knows that, maybe 2900 has the raw power but as of now its not going to beat the 8800GTX in games and numbers.

yeah thats true......if it said the 8800GTS , then ok.......but that i guess is already established by the 7.6 Catalyst which has enabled the 512MB version of the 2900 to smoke out the GTS......

From what I've seen ATi doesn't have raw power. That's 320 SP's grouped in clusters of 5, where only 1 unit does complex calc's. The SP comparison should be more like 64:128 (ATi:NV).

ATi will be faster if games are optimised for its architecture, while in general the 8800GTX should do better. I don't think we'll see "many" R600 optimised games, but the last statement is pure speculation.
