Hello Friends,

Just bought idea- Huwaei E1732 Unlock 3G USB Stick. Have 2 sim Uninor & Aircel both have some - 100mb- 2G/3G data FREE.

While try to use both sim one by one got following message & login attempt fail:

With Uninor I got "ERROR 628: The connection was terminated by remote computer before it could be completed"

With Aircel: Your handset do not support OTA

What it means? Need Suggestion to Use 3G service & also make confirm whether the device working properly or not

Also what is Onnet Minutes & Offnet minutes what it is?

Sorry for noob questions

You first need to activate it before it can be actually used. In the dialer there may be an option to activate the device or similar one. I faced same issue with reliance net connect when i received it and their executives as always pathetic never told this to me.

Both Uninor & Aircel DON'T have 3G service for Mumbai

I check the 3G stick with Reliance & MTNL working good but noticed it got HOT within 10-15 minutes normal use, does any one of you found same or the Heating of 3G Stick Huawei 1732 is Normal?

Thanks for reply

Yes its normal so dont worry bout it. And it doesnt matter if its 3g or 2g, you have to activate it with whatever network it spots with.

MTNL has unlimited 3g plans i guess, so better go with MTNL and yes the 3G modems usually get hot and its normal, so dont worry.

- the high temps of the modem is normal in 3G mode, even my cell-phone or my E1831, when used in 3G mode used to get pretty hot.

- what application are you using to setup the connection??

Problem was with XP Service Settings - Remote Procedure Call Auto connection Manager - need to enable.

Thanks for- Mobile data monitoring app- as it hinted that the RPC Auto Manager need to enabled.

Problem solved thanks to all who put there views/suggestion here

Yes

Guys, Need help.

I am stuck on similar issue (as reported by OP) with Reliance. Have E1732 unlocked and getting error 628.
As suggested in post #3, I need to activate. Can anyone share steps on 'how to activate'?

Edit :
Also to add, I tried an Airtel Sim in the data card and was able to connect to Edge/3G. So I hope there is no issue with the data card. I got E1732, yesterday from Ebay.
