Today i askd maa dealer for 4850 Sapphire and he said 8200 or less +shipping for 5 pieces so i posted here wat u think abt the deal guys:ohyeah:

prices r too high ! HD 4850 MSRP is 89-99$ USD now ! Expect some price rev from AMD in 2 weeks time. 4870 512 MB should be 9.5~10k max
 
Sorry vasim but u havent mentioned any details about the Sapphire 4850 ->
1. Dual slot or single slot cooler?
2. Red PCB or Blue?

Moreover Powercolor 4850 is of really gud quality and service and is easily available locally for 7900.
 
ohk well i too agree abt the price diff i think all of em are tryin to encash 4770 unavailability.... but 1 thing i must tell u "Powercolor cards are good in quality" they r seriously not u wont believe the failure rates...
 
I totally agree...

Sapphire is Legend and its same as EVGA in quality...

Powercolor is replacement of GeCube as Tirupathi quoted...

see not of great quality

+1, i've been told that 4850 prices will touch the 5k mark in india soon. not too optimistic about it though :P
 
In anytime near, i think prices of HD4850 will not fall much since the 4770 that are coming now are priced at 7.7k.
Considering this, there is no chance that 4850 would be going below this...:cool2:

5k can be a possibility after say 6 months or so...:P

Sapphire isnt such a big legend.. neither is EVGA....

There cards have started failing recently...

Specially the economy version models released by these co.s: Example, the Blue PCB Sapphire HD4850... That wasn't a pearl to sapphire's name n reputation, saw many of them failing..
 
4850 are available for around 8k or low at lammy...

bought gddr5 sonic version palit one for 8.7k 2weeks ago which is almost as good as an HD4870...

considering that 8.2k for 5units of gddr3 HD4850 is ridiculous from buyer point of view n uber cool from seller's point of view.

Well the thing is when 4770 launched it was at a MSRP of 99$ and the price was 6.5k here

The 4850 price has been 8k here ever since the price dropped to 130$ in the US. So now that prices for the 4850 have dropped to 99$ in the US, the price here should also have dropped to around the same old price of 4770 but it hasnt. Hence expect a price correction
 
Newegg prices for 4850 still vary from $110 to $160. So I think Indian price should be around 7.5k now (taking $120 as average price). It can be +- 300/-. As for 4770 a distri told me to expect it only by August 1st week. :(
 
pls link a sub 100$ 4850....i cant find em on newegg..lowest is 109$. I dont think a 4850 wud sell for 5k. wht wud be price of 4770 or 4730 then?...4k??
