Yes, with OTG connector types, I used a computer mouse to navigate the phone. I believe just opening the phone and dusting the connector and replugging it would make the display to function again. But since it is with parents at native, I am not able to go there to service it as DIY.

i have a working redmi 4 with black spreading pixel in display. touch is working with good battery and otg and all other are still working.
