51-70k 5600g vs 5700x for 4k gaming

So i have below primary rig

r7 5700x
32gb ddr4 - 3800mhz oc
asus x570 prime pro
Lian li galahad 360
corsair hx850w
Lian li o11 air
Zotac 4070ti(Bought on Launch)

Usage - 4k gaming at 60fps, mostly AAA title, no multiplayer.

Secondary RIG(Kids use this)

R5 5600g
32gb ddr4 - 3200mhz
Msi b550i mpg
arctic freezer esports 34
zeb woodan
cm sfx850w
zotac 3060ti

Usage - Connected to 4k tv mostly playing racing games like fh5, nfs payback etc, fighting games like tekken 8, street fighter 5 and so on.

Standby RIG for parts in event of any of the above fail( This is up for sale on te but might be pulling back as plans are changing)

r5 4500
32gb crucial - 3200mhz
B450m mortar max
tt level 20vt case
corsair rm750x
Sapphire rx 6500xt( impulse buy hasnt been used for more then fea hours since bought but would be held as a backup gpu in case needed for troubleshooting or stop gap arrangement)

Now my question is i am thinking of selling the primary rig components of cpu/board and ram and move the gpu from my primary to secondary rig and again gpu from my secondary to standby rig, how much of a impact would i see in gaming performance on 4k going from 5700x -> 5600g. From what i have read it should be negligible but i need everyone's opinion on this.

Also going to 5600g -> 4500 would i see any major difference in racing games and sorts i know this should not create any major issues however wanted to confirm this.

I have multiple other micro pc's for server and other tasks and a i5 11th gen laptop for general tasks. Also this setup of 5600g + 4070ti is expected to run me through next year june maybe when i switch over to am5 97xx chip as waiting for the x3d variants and the prices of everything to make more sense for a switch.

at 4K, you will be most probably GPU bound. So, you should not see any difference switching from 5700X to 5600G and 5600G to 4500. If at all you see a drop in frame rates, you could increase the game details to make the game even more GPU bound so that the CPU can keep up. You can also overclock your CPU to gain what you have lost in IPC and clock speed by downgrading the CPUs

I don't think its a good idea unless you play 4k only at ultra settings. I don't play at max settings, usually some optimized settings to increase framerates.
So better test it on your games at your settings and see if you are gpu bound always.

Some of the recent games can be quite cpu heavy in some locations. We keep getting spikes and stutters in demanding areas.
My 3300x just couldn't handle it with 3080 on multiple games ( ex witcher 3 - novigrad - i think it went to 30s - terrible ), ghostrunner etc. Probably gets worse with newer games due to RT/UE5.

Why not just sell 5600g or 4500 and keep 5700x ? Ofc another option is that you sell 5700x and downgrade. If you find there is an issue, then just buy 5700x3d which seems to be very good value for money.

So I agree with this however there is another problem at play here which is pcie 3 vs pcie 4 I know for 4070ti's capped memory bus it won't be much difference but I don't want something like 15-20% difference.

So i am aware the 1% lows would take a hit, I do exclusively play on 4k and will most likely lower res when I am doing remote play via steam link on my cell for which I think 4070ti will manage the slack.

All my chips are under 2 year old and I. Warranty resale value is bad right now with people expecting these chips for practically free prices. The 5700x system will be easy to sell with the remaining systems working to sustain me for a year.

i did get an idea of selling either 4500 or 5600g with the x570 board and keep the 5700x with b550 in the itx case. That way i wont have a hard deadline of next year to upgrade. Looking at the ipc gains and overall performance the 9700x is not that much of a gain then 7700x except lower power consumption.

cpu fps limits dont care for gpu performance. If you hit 30 fps cpu limit then lower resolution will likely not make too much difference i think. So you get same frame rate until you hit a workload where gpu fps is lower than cpu fps, then the cpu bottleneck goes away. So to get better fps, you need better cpu. cpu fps might be increased through some settings, but usually not as easily as gpu fps( RT off could help ).

The city areas in witcher 3 next gen cannot be managed by 3300x at all. Its not just 1% lows, average goes down in the city and performance felt very bad.
That's just one game, but i faced stuttery fps in many games until i upgraded to 7800x3d. 7800x3d is overkill for my gpu, but i went for it anyway due to other reasons.
7600x / 5700x3d should be better value.

Just by googling, 4500 seems to be worse that 3300x. That's not good. 4070ti is better than my 3080 and i couldnt live with 3300x. Even 5600g is only slightly faster than 3600x which is slightly faster than 3300x.

Yeah, you can try to test before selling too. That will give you clear idea whether its enough for the games that you are playing.

If you decide to sell 5700x and later need to upgrade again, I think most value option for you as an upgrade will be 5700x3d, its AM4 so you wont want to upgrade motherboard/ram.
That should be as fast as 7600x or around it - faster in some games, slower in others.
7700x/9700x i think is not worth it for gaming alone. With AM5, either just go with 7800x3d (or potentially 9800x3d) for best option so that you don't have to upgrade for longer or 7600 as the better value option. x3d chips are great for gaming.

so update, i swapped out my 5700x to my itx rig and the cpu started acting up, I have put it up for rma, tried both 4500 and 5600g on the main rig and it seems 4500 does fine on most games except a few, 5600g works identically to 5700x in almost all games as i play at capped 60fps so did not notice much difference. I will rma the 5700x then decide which to keep and which to sell off.

From upgrade point of view if i decide to use the 5600g i will not be upgrading till later next year atleast.

Edit :- for interested parties, Ghost of Tsushima running at 4k, the gpu is under volted as well, gameplay is very smooth with zero stutters,

Settled for
R5 5600g
32gb ddr4 - 3200mhz
Msi b550i mpg
arctic freezer esports 34
zeb woodan
cm sfx850w
zotac 4070ti

4500 went to secondary rig and 5700x will be rmaed. Most likely will sell of the whole x570 system except the gpu.
