I am considering Redmi Note 12 PRO 5g series:
Redmi Note 12 PRO 5G 8 GB + 256 GB will cost around - 22 to 23 thousand INR

Some wise people suggested to wait for Redmi Note 13 series, it will start selling from January 10th, 2024 across India.

I would recommend you look for the iQOO series. Much better than the Redmi Note 12 Pro with a great screen and a great processor. The camera for Redmi Note12 Pro is obviously great.

I purchased one of their Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 series phones and I am so happy. This is a gaming phone and doesn't get hot at all. The insane fast charging is standard across all Androids.

I had used the Xiaomi phones earlier and I was generally happy with them, but a lot of colleagues had their Xiaomi phones crap out, specifically their motherboard.

Thanks @mithya @Afxal @ishashank

I am addicted to redmi series specially MIUI (most of my requirements are easily doable as required)

I require 2 features most importantly.

1. Block calls from all numbers which are not in contacts but receive a notification which any number calls (easily doable in redmi phones)

2. Call auto-record, this is doable but requires manual work, Atleast calls to all numbers not in my contact list are auto recorded.

Not sure if these are easily doable on nonrooted IQOO or vivo phones?

If you were to select from redmi series which phone will you suggest?

redmi 12 pro 5g is your best bet in xiaomi phones
12gb/256 gb is available for 26000 inr at croma.

They will give max 2500 K for old phone exchange realme c25y

Does it makes much difference in 6gb/8gb/12gb ram?
Storage 128 gb is enuff, even now 60% is unused on 128gb note 11 pro

Both of those things are possible in iQOO.

I was using MI earlier, then Apple, then seamlessly switched over to iQOO so UI is never a big issue for me. If you prefer the familiarity of MIUI, then go for Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G 8GB. There is a 3K cashback no cost EMI offer on Flipkart bringing down the price to 20K for the 8GB variant. Redmi Note 13 Pro is also being launched at the same price point this week but immediate availability would be a challenge.

tbh ram doesnt matter much these days unless you multi task like 6-7 apps regularly
128gb is more than enough if you don't carry photos and videos on phone, mostly I upload to google photos and clear internal storage.

regarding old device's value, do check cashify as they gave good money for my dad's old realme c3
