i know there are probably a lot of people thinking their cards are overheating, but mine, i'm pretty sure is.... as i type this with nothing open but firefox and the nvidia control panel my gpu core is at 89C with ambient temp at 64C.... now if i leave the control panel open (so it tracks my temp) and run counterstrike source it will get above 120C (i don't know how far, but i get a message saying things with the card got disabled to prevent damage, and the slowdown threshold is at 120C)... i've had the card for years and have never had a problem (or just never knew there was a problem as i just started checking the temp when i installed the forceware 9424 drivers)... the card is not overclocked and i do have a fan in the back of the case underneath the psu.. i already opened it up and dusted it to make sure that wasn't the issue..... and i do have a pci slot open underneath it that i could put another fan in if necessary....
