This became terrifyingly apparent one day when I got an email from someone who didn't think an example I posted of a sharp lens was sharp. I was confused, since it was exceptionally sharp, which is why I posted it. When I asked this reader "not sharp compared to what?," he replied that it wasn't as sharp as a different example of a different lens he saw posted on some other website.

i originally wanted to start a thread for posting that link too...but went a little more discrete way...

that applies to ALL photography forums,but a bit extra for TE maybe

@touzeen...It is a wonder we waste so many hours, blog spaces and bandwidth discussing what a prime can or cannot do and we hardly ever have a line on how you can actually shoot a beautiful photograph

indian photography forums are too friendly...and less critical...every snapshot is "wow" "fantastic" for us

i got sick of it in the Better Photography forums 2 years back and got Banned from it for being critical...TE is much better i'd say...but still not upto some Intl. forums

BTW, others also left the place. Got full of spam and BP guys never took pain in a$$ to take care of their forum
