Yup.. You read right...

7300GT beating a 6800U / X850XT PE :P.. On Air cooling :P.

Make sure you install a powerful GPU cooler if you decided to Vmod your 7300GT DDR3. In our testing, we used a Thermalright V1-Ultra GPU cooler that has three heatpipes on it. And also, make sure you have reliable a Digital Multimeter to measure the voltages.

Although we were able to raised the VMEM to 2.4V, the memory would not budge the 1600MHz mark. So I guess we have to blame the Infineon 1.4ns memory chips... Nevertheless, the G73 GPU is what that matters to us. We started off at 1.65VGPU which gave us a solid clock up to 750MHz. Then we moved to 1.7VGPU which allowed us to clock up to 760MHz. Then finally, we gave it all we got and reached 1.9VGPU. The end result with 1.9VGPU was a blistering 820MHz... That's a massive 270MHz overclock or almost 50% overclock from the original core clock!

Mods, please shift the Thread to the OC and Moddin section, if you think its in the wrong section currently :).
