I am doing projects online.

Depending upon my money in hand , I want to know a few thing.

Price of 7900GT in USA(how safe will it be,chances of getting a bad card lasting less than 2yrs) and India in Mid July

assuming u wanna know prices of 7900 gt go and search in newegg.com.afaik .. u really cant order like tht newegg dont ships internationally if u can get anyone to bring u one from there its reasonable!

When he posted "I have done it" he was right he has indeed done it, i.e. pissed the mods. He always manages to do that.

Why are you guys even replying to this question.. coz he wants to know few things depending upon his money in hand. First we should know how much of his money he has in hand. And knowing the person that he is we must also ask him how much he has in each of his hands..

Anyway the most surprising thing is that how can anyone give him projects to work on.. how does he even talk to them.. dont they get irritated with him like all of us on TE.

From what I was able to decipher you want to know

1. Price of 7900Gt in US in July
2. Price of 7900Gt in India in July
3. Chances of getting a bad card lasting less that 2 yrs.

So the answers are

1. Its $299 right now, so about $275 is possible. Ofcourse Ati could go bankrupt and it could be $375. Ofcourse nvidia could go bankrupt and it could be $175 lol. Who knows?

2. Could come down to 21-23k, if nobody goes bankrupt etc.

3. How can anyone answer that. What are the chances You have an accident while driving to work? What are the chances there will be an earthquake in the next 5 minutes? What are the chances George Bush grows a brain? WHO KNOWS ?!?!

Anyways none a these cards will last for 2 years.... oblivion has already (for example) nearly sc***** em all...

I think wat he meant wen he said last for 2 years was that not blow up kinda, not stop working etc. If he means that if he will be able to play games at high settings 2 years from now, then..... buddy, far cry 2, dx 10, q1 '07. Your card's outdated then.
 
Its not Farcry 2 its Crytek :P and it will run on Dx 9 pretty well... Infact all those ingame shots that are out are on DX9 only ;)...

Chances of a card that stops working , goes kaput and not whether it runs games fine or not.

Price of 7900GT:

USA:

Now:299$

Then:250$ + (arnd 270-280$)

INDIA:

Now:20k(BIG)

Then:18k

I am asking about the chance of getting a malfunctioning card from the US , also can I get international warranty.

Also for how much would a second hand 6600GT XFX sell(1 1/2 yr + warranty would still exist at that point of time)

Will it fetch 4-5k assuming a brand new comes about 8k

I don't understand your fascination with the card going kaput.. How so?? please explain?? Unless someone drops the freakin box and stamps on it NO WAY!! Warranties may give you a problem but well keep away from cheap brands... I'd say an MSI, evga or bfg would do... I don't trust gainward and xfx much, and s&*$ heads no flames here.... Vandal's opinion is all.... You don't have ta agree :P

250$ would be a good deal... I haven't found a 250$ deal as yet... but I wasn't lookin... seeing as my 7900GTX would kick any GT's a** :tongue:

if anyone's bringing the card for u...go for it.... don't trust a courier...unless some online vendor is shipping with insurance...
