So my barely 2 year old amd cpu fan is in its death throes and i was surprised to see that replacement 70mm fans, especially 4-pin PWM ones, and REALLY hard to find. Even in the US there aren't too many options compared to 80mm and above.
So i'm planning to get a really good quality 80mm fan and mount it using an adapter like the one on this page. I plan to make one myself using about 5mm thick aluminium or acrylic.
I would have preferred something like this, but they're either out of stock or frightfully expensive.
People with experience with something like this, please chip in...
