Graphic Cards 8800GTS Benchmarks..

what is bancmarks anyway :rofl: ?? You were so excited to post this or what :P ??

But the performance seems to be amazing. I dont recall seeing such a massive performance leap in previous gen cards....
 
200$ diff? gts priced at 425$?? if thats the case thats a very good price for something nvidia is offering that ati isnt.

what are the power req of the gts & gtx.
 
Total..

The GTX Consumes only 273 Watt at load. Max. 300W. So dont worry about power :)... GTS is lower sumwhere in the 240 - 250W range.
 
The 8800GTX just managed 79FPS average in Fear at 1600x1200 MAX 4x AA 16x AF, that isn't great at all, I would expect a 7950GX2 to perform just as great.

Offcourse, 8800GTX is a lot more physics and eyecandy, plus some boost in future games.

Tell me thats wrong duh. My x1900xtx at stock clocks averages 62fps at nearly similar settings... 1680x1050 instead of 1600x1200.

Yeah, It should be incorrect. 79FPS Avg would be a not so great score for a next gen high end card.

@returnking : Any links to the benchie..??
 
The real test is Oblivion, wtf are people smoking when they test games other than that? :P Either way, I won't believe those FEAR stats just yet... let's wait for more reviews.

what are u smoking. oblivion is no test at all. its a really crappy coded game.

the only test will be when dx10 games come. dx9 will make no difference as a x1900xt or a 7900gtx or gto is handling everything atm.
 
Thanks, I'll lay off the weed and stop snorting too :tongue: Until a dx10 game is out, you need some graphics intensive game to bench... Oblivion is that game whether you and I play it or like it, OR even if some tom, dick or hairy thought he could have done a better job of coding :) And while the X19xx and 79xx series are handling all current games, how much better G80 really is? I don't think you'll blindly spend $450 or $650 if the upgrade is not entirely justified (ie, backed up by performance numbers).

there exists only one DX10 game currently which is flight simulator x which can be tested on Vista RC2 as Vista RC2 has DX10 which i saw myself in the DXDiag of Vista RC2

note: flight simulator x's download size is 8.14GB :O
