A budget digital camera

Hi All,

I am looking for a digital camera under 5.5k. I know nothing about digital cameras so suggest a good one in this budget. I think dont have much choice under this budget, currently I have OLYMPUS FE-46 in mind. Suggest some more.

I don't understand one thing, olympus provides 2 year warranty whereas all others provide just one month ?? Strange.

that 2 year warranty means it is provided by the manufacturer....
so its the best one, and solve any issue u come across..

the 1 month warranty is Dealer warranty..
its actually no warranty, just a publicity style.. however, they changes/repair the camera if some minor issue is there.. but they do not help you if some serious issue come across...
if repairing cost is 100-200 rs, dealer would do it, but if cost high dealer will just make a excuse, saying it doesnt comes in dealer warranty...
so its no real warranty..

^^ Come on buddy, dont U know the difference between Manufacturer warranty and Dealer warranty...

I just explained the difference b/w two...
 
Iirc canon and nikon both offer 2 year warranty. In fact they highlight this aspect in newspaper ads. Btw, from what i have heard, the canon a480 is an excellent choice for the price, as already mentioned. You may also consider the nikon l21-22 in the same price range.
 
olympus Fe46 is a real good cam for its price and features vis a vis

read some user reviews , will give u a good idea , in 5.5k budget u cant expect anything better than this ,

for 4k its a damn good cam

ot there are other options as well like the canon a 480 , a495 and the nikon l20, 21

but they dont offer 5x optical zoom which olympus does , and neither of the above cams have the optical image stabilization ,

all have only digital image stabilization
