Camera A good travel zoom camera for parents.

Looking for a good travel zoom camera for my parents who'll be travelling soon.

I don't know a bit about new cameras (I have an old Canon A1 and a 5yr old Sony Digicam with 5MP) and Some of the basic features I'm looking for:

1. Good still images (includes absolute Basic low light stills, not looking for DSLR quality, but would help)
2. Built-in flash.
3. Fast switching on. (The 5yr old digicam I have takes 20 secs to switch on. The hell?)
4. Compact (like, should be able to fit in a pocket)
5. Speed? (not sure what the techinical term is, but as soon as I shoot the picture, it should be ready for the next shot... not take 15secs to prepare, etc [other than flash]).
6. Zoom (like 16x, very useful for landscape photography which parents are sure to do when travelling).
7. HD-Ready/Full HD video recording @ 25fps with GOOD sound.
9. Should use SD-card. No proprietary formats like MemoryStick/etc.
10. Dosen't matter what battery it uses, it's actually convenient if it uses AA batteries... can just buy Duracell from roadside shop, if not, will buy spare battery pack.

Budget, keep it less than: Rs.15000/- (Have some more cash, but that's for SD cards/extra battery pack/pouch/etc.)

I actually would settle for Sony DSC-HX9V/B, but that's an year old. Looking for something that's launched in 2012, but if none matches it, I'll just but that itself.

Thanks.

I took some pictures with hx10v put up for display in a store. What I noticed is that the pics taken by it seem too much colorful. The colors in the pic don't look natural. Maybe the original pics are alright but the digicam display makes them seem too bright.
Does anyone else feel the same about sony hx10v?

It happens, but it can be avoided by playing around with setting.. You should change the color exposure to real from standard (as by default it is set by standard)
