I am going 2 buy..an abit ip35-e..mobo..
i hv sum confusion regarding d connectors on d mobo...

i know that it has a connector for d floppy...

but i jus wanted 2 ask...dat does it have a connector for my
IDE Hard drive (ribbon cabble as in most P4 systems) nd
IDE Optical Drive (DVD Drive..ribbon cabble)

or will i have 2 buy SATA material for d mobo....

This maybe a really SILLY question...but im having a confusion in it...
Your help..will be appreciated...

THNX in advance..

Aditya

ya it you can connect 2 ide drives....but they have to be mounted closer in the cabby coz of cable length :P

and bcoz p35 chipsets dont have ide controllers, these mobo's have ide controllers so performance may be bad from the hard drive

on my biostar p35 i used to get 30mb average speed from IDE while the same hard drive on another system gave 50mb speeds :(
