The brand new one cost anywhere from 25-30K (according to websites) So 18k seems okay. At the moment Samsung Galaxy Tab P100 (7 inch) is sold at that price range for a used one. So you won't go wrong with spending 18k on a NI tablet which is 3g, dual core tegra A9 processor, dual camera with swivel camera on the back, Honeycomb operating system and much more. Just make sure if the tablet is in excellent condition for the price. I think it is worth to buy the Tablet.
Here's the review taken from a blog:
"Pros:
-The hardware is really good. Running the custom ROM from StephenH a lot has improved.
-The build is very strong, much better than I had hoped for and excellent for the price range.
-The touch implementation is the best I have seen beside my iPhone, its comparable.
-The cpu is a godsend, its fast, gfx are handled beautifully, lag is practically non existent, video is smoothe.
-Flash works so good. Way smoother than my netbook.
Cons:
-Software. Most software is designed with phones in mind so it is not great on a tablet. The NI apps suck although they are optimized for tabs.
-O/S The kernel from NI is crap. StephenH has done a good job but still the NI kernel is garbage.
Conclusions:
The NI ADAM is quite frankly everything and more hardware wise. It is splendid device, the touch is great and i can even write a full review on it. The LCD looks great. The software and operating system is the big issue. This is to be expected as Android is not ready for tablets yet. When the next release comes to the Adam the device will be a lot more enjoyable. Ni needs to fix the sleep glitch and some other minor glitches in the OS KERNEL.
I think the Adam is low priced and a great device, i simcerely feel once some software updates are released, a lot will get better"
