AIRTEL OR BSNL broadband plans?

wich one is better whether BSNL or AIRTEL broadband plan?
gimme details too if that is possible.
i wana know cz last year i took bsnl 500 home plan and that experience so bad that i had to cut dissolve my bsnl connection permanently..

Well... if you don't buy the modem... then bsnl and airtel have the same rates... if you buy the modem from bsnl, bsnl is cheaper in the long run. However if you get double bandwith in the nite in your area then Airtel is definitely the way to go. However on Airtel the speeds on http are really low... so forget watching videos n stuff... only way you can get good speed is through multiple connections... ala torrents and download managers... Bsnl on the other hand gives very good speeds...
 
^^ U Cannot stream videos anyways on a 128kbps connection , be it BSNL or Airtel ! But u can easily stream videos on a 256 kbps airtel connection ! And Yeah Airtel Rocks !! I would Recommend Airtel over BSNL anytime of the Day !
 
^ Who said anything about 128 k packages anyway? And since when does bsnl offer 128 k packages? So if youre comparing them ull obv compare the 256 speeds... and what speeds do u get on http?

Dude I am Having a 128kbps airtel connection ! After 10 pm the speed is doubled and I can easily stream any videos I want ! Almost Daily I stream and watch videos on gamespot , wwe , IGN etc ! so ur comment that forget watching videos n stuff... is absolutely incorrect ! :)
 
Well good for you then... if you are able to watch videos without any skips etc... also you seem to be one of the few ppl getting the double bandwith at nite. How much do you get on http?
 
@riturajnitk: what location are u from?? in bangalore not everyone is as lucky as bluffmaster to get that 2x speed everynight...(or maybe bluffmaster is standing upto his ID...;) )

@sandy : dont know about bengaluru:P , but in DELHI people with 256k connection r getting double speeds at Night ! My cousin is using the 256k plan and his speed doubles to around 530-560 k after 10 pm in Delhi !
Actually I am also surprised that many r not getting double speeds at Night in Bangalore ! And actually this thing is stopping me from upgrading to the 256k connection coz if I dont get 512k at Night the upgrade will be a waste ! Actually I had one Link through which I got this airtel connection and I also reffered 3-4 houses for the airtel connection ! So maybe thats why I am getting double speeds ! Or It can also be due to the Fact that there r not many people using airtel in my area ! Most of them are sify users ! so maybe due to competetion airtel is giving double speeds in my area ! Anyways Good For me !:)

Out of curiosity, couldn't that be managed by tweaking the browser settings, something like "Fasterfox"?
 
256 streams low quality/PSP quality streams without skips from gamespot and others.

Its been a year for me and my 256plan doubles to 512 after 11pm to 7:30am (I can't confirm its 7:30 but just yesterday before i noticed downloads going at 50kBps and it was near 7:25)

And i've payed no extra price, no monthy limit or anything like that, been getting it from day1 i got the coonec last year.
 
The double bandwidth is not available at all places, so dont keep it as the main factor for getting the connection. Airtel offers better service and the download rate and upload rate is same, helps greatly if u are using private torrent network.
 
Bluff and i both get double bandswidth, and we also get a crappy upload speed, around 10kBps.

But Saiyan has a great upload speed (upto 20kBps), but no 2x speeds at night.

Anybody else wanna join in to confirm the pattern?
