These are basically improved version of the K702 with + 3dB bass and sounds more like the K712 reference. Super value for money and extremely detailed sound . More than 16-18 months warranty remaining.

For the price these are one of the most amazing open headphones - close to warm/neutral yet fun sounding. Detailing for this price is unmatched by any other headphones.

does the akg need an amp?


Not something too powerful but yes a good amp can do wonders to its sound . Even a entry level USB DAC+amp like Fiio E10K would be decent , but a better amp will give a fuller and more refined bass and details. Even a good portable amp like Aune B1 could easily drive it on high gain.
