  • PhenomII X4 945 is not a Black Edition. But IMO this is the best VFM Phenom II X4 CPU. If u are willing to take a risk then go for the PhenomII X2 555BE.(80%+ unlock success)

  • Stick to Gigabyte. Even SSD's are not fully using the SATA 3 bandwidth(Though they will do so in the near future). HDD's are struggling to saturate even SATA 2 bandwidth. Asus has bad A.S.S(Rashi). Gigabyte has not got any -ve reviews in the forum AFAIK. So stick to Gigabyte. Their 880GMA-UD2H sells for $5 more than the Gigabyte GA-785GMT-USB3 in newegg. It is a SB850 based board with USB 3.0. But i am not sure whehter they have released it in the Indian market as there is no listing in online stores and TE. If u are able to find this under 6.5k then go for it. Gigabyte GA-785GMT-USB3 costs 5.5k in PrimeABGB.(10 days back)

  • I would say go for the HD5770. Its just 1-1.5k more than the HD5750.

  • Also for the PSU get the Corsair CX400 ~ 2.7k. Much better quality than the Gigabyte Superb. A VX450 will last you a couple more upgrades. Also for the casing check NZXT Gamma. It has lots of +ve feedback in the forum.

  • Well Corsair has longer warranty but a 4GB XMS3 kit costs 6.4k IINM. On the other hand Kingston comes with 3 yrs warranty and 4GB(2+2) costs 5.2-5.3k. As you are not gonna O.C. go for the Kingston and save a few bucks. I am not sure how much warranty the Corsair Value Select RAM's carry. They cost 5.7-5.8k and if they have the same 10yrs warranty as the XMS3 may well be the right choice for ur rig.

P.S: Just curious. Why are you not going for a FullHD monitor when spending 45k on the rig?? Benq G2220HD costs only 7.8k whereas the Dell S2009W cost 6.5k. There is not much of a difference.

1. CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 945 ~ 7k
2. Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-785GMT-USB3 ~ 5.5k(Pricing from Lammy price update thread, PrimeABGB)
3. RAM - 4GB 1333MHz Kingston DDRIII RAM ~ 5.2k
4. HDD - Seagate 1TB Sata Internal ST31000528AS ~ 3.4k
5. GPU - Sapphire HD5770 1GB DDR5 ~ 9.5k
6. Cabinet -NZXT Gamma+ Corsair VX450 ~ 5.6k(Pricing from Lammy price update thread, PrimeABGB)
8. Monitor - Dell S2009W 20 inch [Resolution:1600*900]~ 6.5k/ Benq G2220HD ~ 7.8k
9. DVD Writer - L.G. GH22NS50 SATA DVD-Writer ~ 1k
10. K&M - Logitech Keyboard & Mouse ~ 0.7k
Total: 44.4k-45.7k.

If at all you are planning to O.C then go for the 955B.E. 95w. I think PrimeABGB may stock this revision as they had the news in their store website.

first of all , the 945 is not as BE cpu, the 940 is however the 940 is am2+ socket so it wont fit in am3 boards , i suggest you take the 955 BE for 7950 , for the mobo, ASUS M4A87TD come in two versions one with sata 3 and one with sata 3 and usb 3 take the asus m4a87td usb3 the remaining parts are ok

955 BE c3 - 7950

asus m4a87td usb3 - 6000 or MSI 880GMA-E45 - 6000

4gb corsair 1333 - 5600

seagate 7200.12 1 tb - 3750

xfx 5770 - 9500 (only small price diff between 5750 and 5770)

cm elite 335 - 2100

gigabyte superb- maybe around 2500 not sure

dvd 1000

monitor - dont kno the price of the monitor u mentioned

k and m - 1500

total- 38k without monitor u have 7k for monitor..u can get a benq 22in full hd..5770 will be ok for most games at that res..

awesome build, wait for others to suggest too...:p, i may be a little wrong about prices though.. wait for others to counter check

Since my cousin wont be doing any Overclocking or unlocking stuff and wants everything in plain Stock,so thats why I rejected 955BE & 555BE and chose 945:)

I was thinking of going for ATX Board thats why had listed the Asus Board, though Gigabyte was the first preference:p Any good MSI boards to speak off?

My Cousin doesn't wants a Big screen Monitor:Salso he would be mostly watching 1CD Rip movies and those look real bad on a Full HD Monitor. So a Full HD monitor was not considered and since Full HD monitor wasn't given a consideration so decided to go for 5750 instead of 5770,as i think 5750 would be sufficient:)

I tried searching for Intel i5 Combo (with USB 3.0) and found that the cheapest Board with USB 3.0 is from Gigabyte for 7.4k while the Intel boards dont have USB 3.0 support:S
