Dear members,
Today when i was at my dealers place,AMD Representative had come over.
My dealer told him about my grievance about Venice/San Diego chips not being available in India.

He has assured me that if you confirm me an order of say 10-15 CPUs,he will get them in the earliest shipment.I mean he will specially ask to send 10-15 chips in the shipment.

This means you will get these chips locally with local bill and warranty.

I am not joking about this and if anyone is seriously interested,let me know.

He has asked me to send an email as soon as possible,stating total No. of CPUs.

I have also told him about our site and he has shown keen interest in it and has noted down my email address and website address.

There is a possibility that he may approach us for banners or something similar on our site for A64. ;)
 
woot woot.. thats so nice to hear man.. and i think u cud expect orders for Venice from quite a few of our members here.. :D
 
Am interested in the San Deigo 3700+ cpu.

If and when you get the local price of it kindly post it here or inform me.

I have added your requirement to my list.
Once i submit the list of the quantity then he will work out the pricing and let me know.

But expect it to be in the same range as current chips available in India.
I mean the Dollar : Rupee Ratio that currently exists.
 
If you could tell me abt the Venice 3000+ pricing, I could confirm it to you. Either way..... yes or no. But I need to know the pricing first.
 
well count me in too. I would love to get 1 more venice on my 2nd machine i am building.
I would like either Venice 3500+ or San Deigo 3700+.
Let me know i am 100% sure about this.
 
Hey Darky i am looking for a San Deigo - 3500+ [is there a 3500 SD]
But i want it in July not now.
if a SD 3500+ is not there then 3500+ Venice.

Also let me know the cost.

2] Nikhil - 3000 Venice [probable]
3] Switch - ????
4] Funky - 3500 Venice/3700 SD
5] Quad - 3500 Venice / 3700 SD
6] Darky - 3000 Venice

There is no 3500SD,you will get Venice in it.
@ Funky,
which one you want, please be specific.

Guys and dont worry, if you say yes, i am not going to straight way order it.I will confirm from you all first and then only place the final order.

That's why please tell me if you are in or out.
Depending on the No. the Price may change,more the no.,lesser the cost,may be.

SO dont give me replies like,
" Find the Price and then i will tell "

because say 10 people say, i am in,
I tell AMD guy, i have ready order for 10 pieces, now quote me best price you can quote me.
If the price is practical and if everyone confirms,we place the order.

I guess now you will all be clear, how this is gonna work.

so will be getting it in july , will talk to my dad if he can purchase it for me now
through ur mass order

And a 3500+ Venice , dropped the idea of SD as it starts from 3700+ it will be costly.
If you let me know the costs for both i can suggest you which exactly from the 2.
 
Ok switch is out and Quad wants Venice 3500+

That makes 5 CPUs
Need atleast 10 more.More the merrier.

DONT worry man.. its not like darky's gonna order rightaway. Once u show ur interest darky has a list of "prospective" buyers.. so he can talk to the AMD guy and work out the price.. U can always say NO if u are not yet ready (for whatever reason) :) I thot darky made all that quite clear in his previous post!

And Darky, good job bro..:hap2: if I had known about this, I wud have ordered my Venice 3000+ locally too..:ohyeah:Hey, perhaps u cud enquire if they (AMD India) wud offer any kinda warranty on CPUs bought elsewhere
 
ok, to be specific 3500 Venice will do.
I saw the prices of 3700+ SD and even in us its more expensive than 3800+Venice.
So i expect it will be a lot more than 3500+.

I am out........ sorry for that........ but just saw the price and it is 200+ $. And if it comes to India, it will be even more...... waaay too much for me......
