I have finalized :hap2: my PC configuration as

cpu - Amd Phenom II x6 1090t - 14000
mobo - GA-890FXA-UD7 (rev. 2.0) OR msi 890fx-gd 70 - 11000
ram -(Gskill F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM Ripjaws 8000)
Mushkin 996782 - 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 7-9-7-24 Blackline X2 = 8Gb for 13800 + Shipping

gpu - (SAPPHIRE HD5870 2GB GDDR5 (Eyefinity 6 Edition) with display port dongle X2 29750/-)
MSI hawk 5770 10000 (will add one more later in crossfire)
hsf/cooler - (h50 - 4500) [U]TT venomous X + silent fan 120mm ~4500[/U]

cabinet - (COOLER MASTER Elite 341 - 2000/-) OR Cooler Master HAF 922 Mid Tower Cabinet 6600/- ? Please suggest me a good full ATX case upto Rs 6600/-

psu - corsair hx620 - 7500
SSD (Intel X25M 2.5in 80GB SDD 12000) considering SF 1200 based SSD 64 GB corsair(ABGB) or Mushkin(phoenix importing). Not sure which one to go for.

I will be attaching 2 X 640 GB WD GREEN and a PATA DVD RW sony from old computer.
I hope PSU is strong enough.

(2X HP ZR24W Monitor ~ trying to find out cost) too expensive
2 X Dell UltraSharp U2311H 23"W Monitor ~ 28000

Total cost ~ (121350 previous)(my budget is hovering around 110k)
Please suggest any changes that will help me shave off 10k or so.

Sound card onboard,

DVD drive old Sony DVD RW PATA,

Speaker old Altec lansing MX 5021

KB and mouse would be OLD wireless iball/logitech.
 
Any specific reason you need Water cooling?

Extreme overclocking perhaps?

Otherwise stick to air, while for the superb budget this might seem cheap but do check out the Hyper 212+.

Instead of the HAF 922, you could go for the CM 690II Advanced.

Just a thought.
 
Old means the one I already OWN.
I bought my AL MX 5021 from lamington road(cassetteworld) for 9500/- ~ 4-5 years back and its still rocking.
And it is readily available in Chroma Malad (mumbai) and few other places. I saw on a month back in stock.
Looks like you are desperately looking for one :bleh:

I'd seen one at the Reliance Digital at Mantri mall in Bangalore a couple of weeks back. I think you might still be able to find them in Bangalore if you do a little bit of looking around.

Man one question is your RAM 1600 MHz or 1333 MHz due to the fact, that the new Phenom 2 processors still don't completely utilize even the 1333 MHZ bandwidth in Dual Channel and if you are looking to overclock you could shave off like 1K on the price of RAM and still achieve respectable performance.

you might like to read this for explanation AMD Phenom II X4 810 and X3 720 BE Review - CPUs and Memory Reviews - TrustedReviews and the C2 and C3 stepping the AMD guys have implemented have done nothing to do with this issue.

Rethink about the Western Digital Green Edition drives as they have had some issues and two of my friends have had to deal with their 1TB hard drives going dead, just my experience speaking.

What are you researching on, my own curiosity for such an expensive rig. Best of Luck with the build :)
 
Thanks for the heads up. My RAM is 1600Mhz.

I agree that I could go for 1333 Mhz RAM provided I get at least 4 Gb kit(preferably g skill) or any other brand.

I would rather prefer 2gbX4 2 kits of 1333 Mhz in dual channel. But it is subject to availability in market and should support 4 DIMM slots full without compatibility isues.(4GbX2 too expensive)

One option would be --> corsair ddr3 xms3 1333MHh(TW3X4G1333C9G) 2Gb X4 = 8 Gb but timings aren't very tight. (9-9-9-24).

My WD greens are old ones and are with me from the time they were first launched in India. A good batch i suppose.

For saving 20k I am seriously considering ONE MSI HAWK 5770 eyefinity at first and then 2X 5770 in crossfire. Even 2X 5770 in crossfire (20,000) would be cheaper than one 5870.

Would HX 620 be enough PSU for two HAWKS?
 
Yeah man I bought a G Skill 1333 MHz kit in the beginning of Jan this year should find it with relative ease,

ok you go with the WD disks if you are secure, the incidents were from what I have experienced.

Yeah you should be able to CrossfireX 2 Hawks if you have a 620 W power supply, but if you plan to TRI Crossfire later get a 750W PSU, consider the HD 5850 too you will get better performance.

I will check for RAM.

I need a dual right now and triple display support in the future.(2 monitor connected via DP other via DVI and about 32inch LCD tv via HDMI)

My concern is if 5770 will support 3 Full HD diplay with one of them running HD RIP and other two for office productiviyu and research(Non GPU dependent). So dual gives me performance of 5870 and 4 DVI , 2 DPs and 2 HDMI connectivity of course at higher power consumption. But I thing 2 5770 in crossfire should support 3 or more displays with ease. And I can add second card at later date.

Otherwise will go for 5850.

a.) If Gaming Then go for a Core i5 750 or a Core i7 930/920

b.)If your major use of 3D rendering applications then you are good with the AMD Phenom II x6 1090t

since it has 6 cores it performs really well with the 3D rendering applications.

It kicks some serious ass in multi threaded apps

3.Case I would rather a Full ATX case since the HAF 922 is a mid atx

you can expand your upgradibility options if you go for a full ATX

You will have to use the push-pull configuration and also that the

the self contained liquid cooling systems are crappy the fans used are of really bad quality and also the radiator are of really crappy quality.

You would do good with an AIR cooler.

with the HAF 922 you can go with the True 120 or the Venoumous X with some good fans like the CM RC7 with blue LED which would look awesome.

Or if you go with a big case then the Noctua NH-D14

that cooler is one of the best performers in air cooling but is very bulky.

But the HP ZR 24 is really very expensive around 50 Grand

so the Dell U2311 is a good e-IPS panel but has some tint/glare issues

and you can also think about the U2209 which is really successful e-IPS panel.

5.About the power Supply when you buy CPUs and HSFs like that you need to overclock plus the GPUso better go with a 750W I know that the PSU seems a bit overkill but if you are gonna be overclocking the CPU and GPU both you are gonna need it I mean if you plan to Cross Fire later.

Desktop productivity,research. Not much gaming but occasional movie watching Full HD rip.

mid atx is enough for now. But which full ATX in price range of upto 6000 u recommend?

I am going to OC 1090t to 4Ghz and want it to run stable. Noctua too big and guess overkill for my oc. VX and h 50 perform almost same.Priced same.
I am ready to consider TT venomous X. Venomous X easy to mount. I will opt for non LED fan though.(disturbes sleep :P )

U2209 non full HD , no DP (only dvi-D). inch bigger would be better. Dell U2311 is what I am considering. whats the best price i should expect for U2311?

HX 750 would strech the budget. Hope HX 620 will be fine for ocing CPU to 4Ghz. (wont oc GPU)

yes the 620w wouldnt be enough but for crossfiring and overclocking.

then the CPU you chose for you tasks is perfect

The thermalright venomousX is more expensive than the corsair h50 with considering the fans

and when you talk about performance sure they both have the same

but be warned that its a self contained cooling unit the quality of the FANs is pathetic the radiator is also of god awful quality that is the reason you can get the corsair H50 - radiator plus pump plus the waterblock at that price

all the self contained cooling kits have the same problem as they offer good performance only for the benchmarks and are priced with their competetive air coolers but in doing so they compromise with the quality

monitor is totally your choice and you can get it for Rs13,400 on the TE dealers paradise.

The thermalright venoumous x is only a sliver better in performance than the TT True 120 latest revision

it is mostly just a cosmetic upgrade and not worth the price difference you can go with the true 120

Ok I have decided to go for higher rated PSU Either corsair HX 750(Rs.8790/-) OR Corsair High Perf. TX850W (Rs.9295/-). Both cost similar (~500/).

CPU cooler Thermalright CPU Cooler TRUE Black 120 Rev. C (Rs.3230/-) + Cooler Master Excalibur (R4-EXBB-20PK-R0) (950.00)

I am not sure which full Tower ATX case to go for??? Please suggest me one. I don't need a flashy LED or fancy design> I need elegant case with good flow and is relatively quiet. Screw less entry is add on.
 
You can save some money by not going with the Black which is just a cometic Upgrade and rather going with TRUE 120 only as for the FANS

Its better you use a PUSH-PULL configuration and if you dont mind noise then for the fans I would go with the Scythe Ultra kaze 3000 because you need high CFM fans for an awesome PUSH PULL setup.

750W PSU will suffice but totally your choice since you are spending a lakh better spend 500bucks more and get the 850.

As for the full tower I dont know much about the availability of brands in India.

but

I am using a Cooler Master HAF 932 it is an awesome spacious and really cool and easy to use case.

and if the brand XCLIO is also available in India then The XCLIO Wind Tunnel Is also an awesome budget Full-ATX Case

Then there is Gigabyte Sumo

and Xclio Black hawk
