An interesting find about BSNL !

Hello there guys !

I have BSNL broadband connection and I'm currently using BB850 combo as the current plan,

Since BSNL gives very fluctuating pings to different servers, online gamers like me cannot enjoy it to the fullest.

As you know that pings depend upon gateways that BSNL uses, I've compiled a list of gateways and the pings with these gateways.

1) GATEWAY- 117.203.72.1

pings-

Mumbai

Pretty good pings !

This shows that BSNL can give us better ping to even international servers.

2) GATEWAY[font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] 117.212.184.1[/font]

Paris

So ping to Mumbai is good but to Paris it sucks.

3) GATEWAY 117.198.72.1

Mumbai

Paris

Same ping for both Mumbai and Paris WTF !!

I redid the tests almost 4-5 times to get same results for this gateway !

4) GATEWAY 117.217.72.1

Mumbai

Paris

Again good pings for Mumbai but bad for Paris

5) 117.198.80.1

Mumbai

Paris

Again the same result.

So, these results explain the fluctuating pings during the day.

Here we are, there is only one gateway from BSNL by which we will get good pings to European servers !

We will get good pings to Indian servers through most of the gateways.

Oh! And the pings to Kuala Lumpur and SG servers suck through all the gateways (getting 300-330ms through all gateways)

Now I do not understand the technical aspects of this, which is why I decided to post these results here.
