ANd I would say for brand new, the Dell XCD 35 @ 10.5k

LOL. Quite possible. The shopkeeper might have been, "Desire chahiye na, to Desire hi to hai. Wildfire, Desire sab ek hi to hai, HTC ka English phone"

Ace is not so good. HVGA resolution on 3.5inch screen! 1350 Mah battery.. Not VFM.

@OP: Get Optimus One or Dell XCD 35.

Both are good options. Dell has a better screen. While Optimus has bettery battery life, And upcoming official Gingerbread update.
