As the title says, I am looking for 19/20" monitors with 16:10 Aspect Ratio. Preferred resolution - 1440x900 || 1680x1050

Thanks in Advance :)

Add the Acer H203H to the list but max resolution is 1600x900 ( I have yet to see a 20" monitor with screen resolution of 1680x1050 ), Samsung B2033 is there BenQ also has a monitor in this range, this is all I can scrounge from my memory of monitor's last I went to S.P. Road and I won't be going any time soon as I'm in Gandhinagar :(

How is 1600*900 16:10?

Nothing :p . I need widescreen monitor. But the 16:9 ones are too wide for me. Other than movies, the vertical space is a bit short.

Then get the Dell 2209WA. Retails for as low as 11k last I heard, has an IPS panel and meets your criteria as well. :p

Dell 1908WFP is a 19 inch lcd with 1440x900 resolution and is available at Lamington road for Rs.6500.

Out of budget :p

@sunny27,

Thanks, I'll search for that. :)

Okkay. So, 16:10 monitors don't seem to available now. So I might stretch my budget a bit to get a 22". I heard that the BenQ and Samsung ones are selling for around ~7.5k mark. Any better / LED options for around 8k ?

Alright, got confused again. :( Just enquired from RC that BenQ GL2030 LED 20" is 6250/- and the lcd G2200HD is 7250/- .. Now, as I've read, LED ones produce better picture quality (?) and consume less power. But the specs show 250cd brightness where as the 22" one comes with bigger screen size (movies :p ) but LCD and its brightness is 300cd. Besides, I'm considering the fact that my card is 4770 and in case I need to move again, smaller size will be convenient. :S

active matrix LED LCD Monitors have better contrast

but they are way costlier.

also with better panel , CCFL is preferred, it gives better color reproduction.

So dont worry about LED / LCD at 8K range.

buy what the best you can get in that range
