PC Peripherals Apc ups taking longer to go online

hi guys i've been facing this problem for past week or so. my ups takes atleat 5 -8 mins to come online, earlier the time was maximum 2 mins. It switches from online to battery to online on its own. It is APC Back Ups RS 1000.
do i need to take it for RMA????
