Do not get the magic mouse. One of the most unergonomic mice around.

If you are fixed on a touch surface mouse, you might get the Microsoft arc touch or the new touch mouse they are bringing out in a bit.

Or you could get the Apple track pad (pointless for gaming though.)

The Apple keyboard is nice though.

i see..thats why i mentioned lookwise,,I have no clue about the functionality..I am pretty much content with my basic ms mouse ans logitech keyboard so far.the apple keyboard,,its mentioned as 49$ in their site..i can get a descent gaming keyboard at that price..i am specially looking for a keyboard with illuminating keys within that budget with some programmable keys.

I understand. It does look pretty. I was tempted to get one for work, but a colleague bought one and I tried that for a bit. It took me some time to use the scrolling but I couldn't get around the two finger gestures and my fingers/wrist started hurting a bit. The mouse is too flat.

The largest jump I noticed in mouse technology was when I bought a Logitech mouse with smooth scrolling. Hyperfast scrolling is amazing and is very useful for reading long documents, long web pages, etc. And shifting back to the old clicking mouse movement is a button away for when you want to game. (Look at videos of the VX revolution/MX revolution for examples)
